Absolutely Disappointed – Standards Have Hit Rock Bottom
I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over a year now, but after today’s experience, I’m done. Ordered the Mutton Rogan Josh, and it tasted like someone emptied an entire bottle of salt into the dish. It was so unbearably salty that even a tiny sip of the gravy was inedible. When I asked for a replacement, it took way too much drama and attitude from the staff before they finally agreed—only to bring back the same disaster, this time masked with a bit of sugar to tone it down. Oversmart and lazy, not professional.
The aloo kulcha had the same salty mess, but they flat-out refused to replace it. The mango lassi was nothing but sugary, watery disappointment. On top of that, the new waitress, clearly eager to show off her English, responded to feedback with rudeness and arrogance. It was shocking.
This place has gone from being a favorite to a complete disaster. The quality, attitude, and basic customer service have all deteriorated beyond repair.
Final verdict: AVOID this place like the plague. There are at least 10 better Indian restaurants within a 2 km radius—try any of...

I have never left below 4 stars for a restaurant because as a fellow small business owner I know how hard it is. I have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the world from hole in the wall to fine dining… and this was the most underwhelming Indian food experience I’ve ever had. The flavor, spices and boldness that I love in Indian food were completely lacking. The sauce was also very watered down and the naan was overly crispy / burnt on some parts (more like a cracker). I also have never not seen rice included with an entree. At 500 pesos per person (with tip) - we finished our food because that was a lot to spend but my partner and I were both sadly disappointed as we were so looking forward to the meal.
I think these things could all be easily improved! I will say the staff was welcoming and the presentation looked good. There’s a few tables outside that were nice for...

I cannot recommend Indian Grill in Mexico City enough! As an Indian food enthusiast, I was thrilled to find authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine right here in the heart of Mexico City. The dishes are perfectly spiced, and the flavors instantly transport you to India.
I also chose Indian Grill to cater food for my birthday celebration, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions. Kasim, the owner went above and beyond to make the experience special. As a goodwill gesture, he surprised us with a plate of gulab jamun, which was not only delicious but incredibly heartwarming. His kind words and genuine wishes added a personal touch that made my day even more memorable.
The food, service, and hospitality are unmatched. Indian Grill truly brings the warmth and richness of Indian culture to your table. If you’re in Mexico City and craving authentic Indian food, this is the place to go!
Thank you, Kasim and the Indian Grill team, for a...
