5 Years ago, I rated it at 5 stars. Then the last few birthdays we have gone, one of the waiters made my wife cry, he was so mean and they all started to act like delinquent thugs when we said we weren't going to tip due to the bad experience. They lied about the cuts of meats we were getting. We asked for a specific cut and they brought us something else and once they were confronted about it, they just stated they would replace the cut. They brought back a cut that was just COVERED IN SPIT. 5 years ago, the service was amazing, 4 years ago it was amazing, but 3 years, 2 years and last year it was SO insanely horrendous and the tip situation got out of hand so bad with threats and aggressive service from the waiters that we decided to go to Fogo De Chao for another birthday and the service was just amazing in comparison to this.
We all understand, you are waiters and you aim to make some good tips, but as a former waiter myself, I HIGHLY believe you should work for your tip. It seems that if you go in a large group, they jump for joy and serve you well as long as they THINK or are under the impression that they're going to get a fat tip.
The second you don't tip for a large table, they turn hostile, start blocking your exit from the restaurant and in my case, harass my wife so bad on her birthday that she broke down in tears because she felt helpless and attacked by the waiter who's name I cannot recall at the moment. I did record him and put it on Tik Tok but we will visit soon and see if we see him again to expose him and fully and righteously document their abusive and aggressive behavior. A tip is a tip, it is not mandatory and not leaving one should not result in violence, spitting on our food or aggression from your staff on SEVERAL OCCASIONS. We aim to return with hidden cameras and perhaps go Live so that others can see in real time how their attitude shifts once a big table of 6 or 10 people gives no tip. We deserve to be treated fairly, with decency and respect at all times, specially if we are respectful. We shouldn't suffer aggression if we choose not to tip, no matter how small or big the table is. For us, this happened at the night time with the top...

-La Vid Argentina is a good restaurant to check out in the La Condesa neighborhood. -You can order from the menu a la carte or choose the buffett, which I did. -The buffett consists of cold cuts meats, salads, a couple soups, some Argentinian dishes & you get access to the pasta bar, which was really, really delicious. -The pasta bar had ravioli which I had made to order by the cook w/ marinara sauce. -Also included are a choice of empanadas, I choose the ham & cheese it was super tasty especially w/ the chimichuri sauce. -The wait staff, hostess & manager are were all great. -I especially enjoyed my short conversations w/ Kevin my waiter & the manager Moises brought me out a cut of Argentinian beef w/ mashed sweet potato on the house. -The restaurant building is very cool, its 2 stories w/ indoor & outdoor patio seating on a corner.
Overall, this place caught my eye during several Uber rides so I am glad I checked it out. Maybe next time I will order...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants I've ever been to. If this place was in Dallas or Houston it would be one of the top restaurants in the city, and It is one price no matter what you order off the menu or take from the buffet. They feature custom made Certified Angus beef on the to order menu that is both tender and delicious. The price for 4 adults was less than 1/2 of what it cost to eat in a bad restaurant in the tourist districts. We liked it so much, we ended up eating there 4 out of 7 nights we were in Mexico city. Best service I have ever had too, 3-4 wait staff constantly providing sincere service, and obviously caring about their profession. The restaurant has a Spanish Colonial style and is...
