This place is beautiful for a dining in experience. Very relaxing and the ambiance is amazing. The baked goods looked all delicious, but only tried two. They were very good. We had the chilaquiles and the huevos divorciados. The food was good but could be better if it was served hot and more flavor. Staff was friendly but slow at times, took quite a while to get our food. Also wanted to order more drinks after finishing our meal but staff was taking too long we decided to head out. Something to be aware they charge extra for every thing, even 1oz of milk if you don’t want to drink your coffee black. I liked the food and the environment. There was a young guy who was very nice and helpful for us. But the host was a bit weird and rude. At the beginning she told us she'll let us know when the small table for two people (we are a party of two) outside are available and we just waited. Then she led us to a table far back that can fit 5 people. I was like didn't you say that we'll be sat at the two person table? And the group after us was a bigger group. It just doesn't make any sense. Finally we got the small table but she looked annoyed. Mimbre is a gem in this massive city. It's set back in a beautiful brick alleyway away from the noise with a great covered, but outdoor, dining area. We had Chilaquiles con Huevos and Huevos Divorciados and both dishes were phenomenal. The depth of flavor and ingredients were great! Nice level of spice and a great sized portion. Our dishes were fairly priced for the portion size. Also, this has been the only place that we've been given water at the table (USA style, lol) and we've been here for over a month.
