These are some to mention did a great|Job while our stay from March 29 to April 2.||Location: I think is the best in Mexico City.|Secure and close to the principal avenues insurgentes and Reforma. Very secure and safe to walk around. Surrounded by different federal offices and historical buildings and a great walking to Centro historico. You can also take the bus or taxi.||The pros: rooms dated need to improve and actually noticed remodeling was going on. According to the front desk staff and one of the owners they will be replacing tiles, beds, tv and make it nicer.(hope soon)||A/C not working properly. They turn it on and off once in a while. Some times you can get a standing fan if you are lucky otherwise will sweat.||Need iron and board in the room.|Need music in lobby|I wish this could be a perfect stay but the owners and management need to work a lot to improve their operations and services.||We will be back since we learn that are remodeling...
Read moreI had a pretty bad experience here. We got in late, and the front desk was brisk, bordering rude when I asked for a room with one bed. He informed me that because my husband and infant were with me, we were to rent a room with two. Okay, fine, but then he tells me the charge will be $520 pesos ($48 USD) which is almost double the rate posted online, and easily 75% higher than similar hotels in the area. It was late, so we agreed. The room was small, smelly (it smelled like they piped their kitchen vent into the room...) and dirty. The window looked out onto the other side of the hotel. When I asked the restaurant what they still had (it was 10pm, they closed at 10:45) they told me they weren't making anything anymore. I asked if I could use their microwave, and they were rude and weird about it.
There was an awesome rooftop area, with a sweet bar, but it looked to be in disrepair.
Ultimately,if I'm paying more for a room than is average for the area, it better come with better service or rooms. It didn't. We were treated like a problem from the...
