Taquería El Califa (Insurgentes) — Restaurant in Mexico City

I can’t believe I paid $15 USD for one small sirloin taco and a little bowl of consommé. To put that into perspective, I got a full birria plate earlier that day for $5. I can’t say this was bad per se — the flavors and salsa were on point — it’s just that the portions were laughably minuscule. Maybe if I were in an airport or the upper east side that would be okay, but this is the middle of Mexico City.
