Terraza Coraje — Restaurant in Mexico City

I sit in this restaurant as I write this review. The potential of this place is what excites me most. The atmosphere of this place is wonderful! I can tell this is a newer establishment and with continuous improvement, I think it will be easily very popular and well-recommended.

The wait staff and waiters were good and I enjoyed my delicious house burger.

I think this is a good place for both intimate one-on-one gatherings and for larger groups of 8-10. I look forward to going back as they improve and make their mark on the restaurant scene in the city.

I have a few comments for improvement:

Some people can tell when you use low or expired quality oil; it gives French fries a distinctive acrid flavor and unpleasantly greasy touch on the tongue. A second thought on the fries: please offer ketchup. Easy. Try to take the order just once. Having a new waiter take the order and then having a superior confirm again with the patron is a bit awkward. Details matter. The hanging plants looked a little dead, dried up, or unkempted. Revisit/redesign dessert options; especially if such dish will be frequently...

If you’re in Mexico City, don’t skip this rooftop spot.

We had an epic night at Terraza Coraje. It’s in Condesa. Came with my Harvard friends on our group trip, and it was easily one of the highlights of the itinerary. This gorgeous rooftop restaurant has a live DJ and some of the best cocktails we had in CDMX. The food menu is elevated Mexican cuisine and stuff like burgers and steak. Everyone was happy. We shared everything. Drinks were on point, and the vibe was chill until the drinks kicked in lol. THEY LET ME SPIN ON THE DJ DECKS after the real dj left! I played two Beyoncé songs hahaha

El lugar es hermoso, eso no voy a criticarlo. El servicio es bueno, aunque al ubicarnos en nuestro lugar nos “ofrecieron” agua, pero nunca nos aclararon que la misma no era de cortesía, sino que la cobraban, a lo que respondimos: “ah no pero si queremos agua, se la pedimos”.. La respuesta de la camarera fue: “Les ofrecemos agua para limpiar el paladar”. Una cosa muy extraña, en todo caso es obligación del restaurante ofrecer agua de manera gratuita, y por otro lado, la camarera debe aclarar que lo que está ofreciendo a la mesa no es de cortesía sino que corre por cuenta de la mesa. Con respecto a la carta, los precios me parecieron elevados en relación a los platos que ofrecen. Pedí mollejas de res, solo encontré tres pedacitos, los cuales tuve que buscarlos durante bastante tiempo, ya que el resto era puro frijol. Luego pedí otro plato que no tenían (no recuerdo el nombre), tampoco puedo fijarme en su instagram porque no tienen su menú publicado. Y por último pedí carnitas de pato que si estaban bien, pero igualmente el plato era chico en relación al precio. En base a los tragos, estaban deliciosos, pero vuelvo a lo mismo, precios elevados. Y me di cuenta que los vasos son pequeños. Soy una persona que disfruta de la gastronomía y de la coctelería, y me atrevo a realizar comparaciones, por lo tanto, puedo decir que he asistido a bares y restaurantes reconocidos por la zona de roma y condesa que tienen renombre, con mejor ubicación y terrazas, y puedo asegurarles que sus precios son mucho mas bajos y sus platos son mas abundantes, al igual que sus tragos.
