Los Campesinos — Restaurant in Morelos

This is a small comedor right in the historic center of Cuernavaca. They accept both cash and cards, and the restaurant itself is located in a historic building. But that’s not the main point. The main point is that for 70 pesos, you get a daily lunch special—and it’s pretty good.

There was only one waitress on the first floor, but she did her best and was very friendly. Shoutout to her!

Had lunch on a saturday. Cosy quaint “ retro” ambience. Quick service. Had the vegetarian option of “ menu of the day”. A soup, main course of tortillas with potato, cheese, mushrooms, peppers, a salad, some rice and a dessert of hot fruit punch. Quite tasty and filling. And unlimited supply of horchata too. Nunca había visto este lugar a pesar de siempre haber vivido en Cuernavaca, 😂😂 el precio de el menú del día es accesible está en 63 pesos incluye entrada, guisado, guarnición, agua de sabor y tortillas o pan. También tienen comida a la carta con precios variados pero accesibles, tiene espacio para comer en planta baja sin subir escaleras o también puedes comer en el primer piso el lugar es bastante pintoresco con ambiente muy agradable. Mi primera decepción fue que la porción del guisado me pareció muy pequeña, aunque la verdad tiene buen sazón. No sé si fue por la hora estaban próximos al cierre y ya no había más que un guisado y solo dos guarniciones a elegir. Y la segunda decepción fue la limpieza de los baños que para mí siempre es muy importante, el bote de papeles en el baño estaba desparramado y olía muy feo el baño a orines.
