I was excited to go eat somewhere that serves Mediterranean dishes but unfortunately left disappointed. Very slow service and nonchalant waiter. None of our dishes arrived at the same time. My mother received her soup and wasn’t even done with it when she was brought her entree, while all of us were still waiting on our appetizer. The waiter just stood there next to her while she finished her soup so he could leave her entree. My father got his tortellini when all 3 of us had almost finished our meals. Never checked on us to ask if everything was OK (which it wasn’t). Had to go inside the restaurant to ask for the bill and back in again to pay for it. I would say that the food was good but definitely not excellent. The sausage on the pizza was still pink like it was undercooked. A bottle of Pacifico was 160 pesos - not sure if that was a mistake or the true price, but didn’t feel like hunting down the waiter to figure it out.
On a positive note, the bus-girl was very nice and attentive! They should make her wait on the...
Read moreThe food and hospitality of this restaurant are outstanding. Highly recommend coming here! The owner merged their two restaurants: Mediterráneo (Lebanese cuisine) with Il Padrino di Vallarta (Italian cuisine) to the location of Il Padrino on the marina (important to know if you’re using Apple Maps for Mediterraneo). It’s small, intimate and has views of the marina as well as patio seating facing the marina. The food here is authentic and delicious. It’s made fresh and from family receipts passed down through generations. We came to celebrate my partner’s graduation and the chef came to personally talk to us about how the food tasted and explained his story and process. This...
Read moreOrdered food to go. Falafel was the worst I’ve ever tasted. It tasted like dish soap. My whole family agreed. It was not a reaction to cilantro, we all love cilantro. The tabbouleh was not great. It’s suppose to be a parsley salad with bulgur. Not a bulgur salad with parsley. Everything else was ok. Noting special. The food is not authentic and this restaurant shares a space with Il Padrino. So, in reality is an Italian restaurant and a Lebanese restaurant all coming out of the same kitchen. They should stick to one cuisine. On a positive note, everyone was very nice and...
