We stopped in here for a bite to eat for both breakfast and lunch. The breakfast was an all you can eat buffet which was pretty good. The complaint I had about the breakfast was the rolls that are located by the Omelette bar. And the Luke warm temperatures of the premade foods. The rolls should constantly be check on so they remain covered and kept away from flies and insects. So when I pulled from one of the compartments a pumpkin seed roll underneath that roll was a fly and what appeared to be a gnat. Of course I put the roll back. I am informed one of the waiters and because her English was not very good I had to point it out her to see what I was speaking of. This meant now I had to resort to only the hot foods that were covered up and that led me to the delicious fish. My friend chose to eat from everything that was there including the uncovered breaded rolls. LOL. The coffee was good however I wasn't familiar with the cream that they use as a result my stomach became upset. The problem I have with the buffet is they do not keep the food covered that should be covered. I understand it could be tedious but if that's the case one of the waiters or three should be designated to make sure of this task. We also had brunch here as you see in the plate is a version of their potatoes we may call them grits or cream of grits and it was quite tasty a little on the sweet side which made it pleasant to consume. The reddish color accentuated the plate. Our waiter was Eduardo and there was another I believe his name was Noel. Very pleasant personality and professional. I suggest when you are in the area if you choose to stay at the hotel that this restaurant is a part of please visit. My only concern is the food was not hot the coffee was piping hot but the food was not hot and that's quite a problem it seems like I've been having while in Mexico when it comes to the food. Temperatures should be maintained...
Read moreWe decided to spend Christmas Eve dining at the Samba restaurant in the Vidanta Resort….. WHAT A MISTAKE. The restaurant location /atmosphere/ service were all great however the main ingredient, FOOD left us very disappointed. The advertised Turkey with dressing turned out to be chicken and after it was gone pork was the replacement. The whole main meal presentation was totally out of character for Vidanta and at 900 pesos (70.00can/50.00us) one expects a lot more than what was offered. I wonder what went wrong this time and let this review be looked at as nothing but positive feedback from a very loyal and committed...
Read moreWent here for dinner tonight.. Food was good, but way overpriced. I think the best bet is to order off of the lunch menu poolside, because the food is still good, but the prices are much more reasonable. If you're really hungry this might not be the best choice for dinner. I ordered the ravioli. I was going to share it, but when It arrived it was a very small portion. My daughter ordered the fuccili with Alfredo sauce and it was a pretty good portion. Service was decent, but had to ask numerous times for water refills. Our food took a long time to arrive, but they did bring us extra bread...
