If you haven’t gone yet, what are you waiting for? This is a super relaxed, super cool and fun space. We’ve been to Mombasa many times, and whether with family and young kids, or adults only, everyone always feels welcome, appreciated and celebrated! The owners have put so much love into making their space unique and it literally transports you off of the common street into a space where music, laughter, and friendship can mingle while sharing exquisite food and ever changing DJ sets! Chef John makes some of the most spectacular food that will excite even the most snobby of palates, created with a level of care and attention attributable to a world class chef. Take the kids to cool off from the days heat under the sprinklers while you enjoy a delicious lunch or take your friends there for an evening of great drinks, amazingly curated and executed food, and dance with everyone under the stars and sprinklers(sometimes at the same time) into the sultry...
Read moreGreat dj. Ironic door policy though. Security rummages through everything extremely thoroughly to make sure you aren’t bringing in drugs just to have in-house dealers lurk by the bathrooms that bombard you when you use the loo. Look, I live in CDMX so I get it but I’ve never seen the lack of discretion and aggression. They’re basically trying to follow you into the stall. Even when I glanced over a guy kept signaling a joint. For being a fresa place, I felt like they could chill out on that quite a bit. The food was not great. We ordered the fish that was overpowered with peppercorn and the mussels that didn’t smell great. I would just come here for the music,...

The service was actually good but I’m waiting since about 6 months for my ‘croquetas de betabel’ & have been ignored in my messages - that’s why only 3 stars… it’s majorly elektro-house-DJ or African style music which I only like once in a while but that’s also a taste thing & feels more like “with that you can make more money”. I believe the place has lots of potential & is intended to be something totally different - also with the chairs it has an energy of kindergarden for grown-ups so they can forget everything instead of remembering themselves and not a musical garden as it was intended to be by the owner. But he believed a musical garden wouldn’t make money do he went for a...
