If you want to try authentic food this is your place. They have delicious Tlayudas - I really liked the chicken tinga. They are huge, so come hungry. This was my husband's favorite thing he ate. It was spicy but not too spicy. If you like really spicy their hot sauces will give you a bit of sweat for sure. The guacamole was so good, probably the best we had. The people here were so friendly. They have several tables to enjoy your delicious food. We also tried their banana shake and the fruit water. The fruit water comes in a pitcher and is potable. So refreshing.

Many people have complained about the service being slow. Considering there is one cook and everything is made at the time you order, the service is no slower than any other local Puerto Escondido place. We had the whole fish, fried with garlic and the filet of fish with garlic. And guacamole with chips. Everything was delicious, the service was what is expected in a small, local restaurant and it was clean and friendly. We will be going again and we recommend it as a true local spot in a place otherwise filled with tourist traps.

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE! This was the worst food experience I have had in Mexico and I've been here for 8 months. The waitress was absolutely awful, refused to bring our drinks, took 1 hour to bring these 'tacos' and they were so SALTY they were barely edible. I mean, look at the photo They came with NO salsa and she brought onion and cilantro 15 minutes after our tacos were served. Then, they argued with us as we refused to tip due to the poor service. All round, please do not visit this place. Really really bad

One of the worst experiences I’ve had while dining. The food is is not bad but the treatment we received was so bad it makes everything feel worse. The waiter didn’t speak at all , he just stared and you couldn’t know if he was paying attention or not. When the food arrived he didn’t told us what each tlayuda and tacos was (they all look similar since we’re folds) so he proceeded to open the tlayuda in front of us and even then he wasn’t sure about the flavors inside, but didn’t bother to speak. His overall attitude was very rude, he didn’t even bother to speak to us. We ordered 2 different types of tacos and he didn’t brought what was ordered. To finalize we said we wanted to check the bill and he got mad, didn’t allow me to look at the receipt and proceeded to read every item on it loudly, at least we knew he could speak at this point. Please avoid this place there’s no need to be treated like this and to have your...

So everyone said to get a Tlayuda especially in Oaxaca. Now I can’t compare this to order but it was good. Had it with the chicken tinga. They used blue corn for the tortilla and it was crisp, inside there was red cabbage, cheese and the chicken.

Also tried the shrimp taco and that was really good.

And then the guacamole
got it spicy but basically they just put jalapeño and it didn’t give much heat more the flavor was noticed. It was really good!

We got it to go since it’s been pouring here. And I love how they packaged everything nice and have salsa and lime.

I read some comments on here about the service especially to tourists. They were great especially for someone that barely speaks English. They were fast in preparing the meal while servicing others. Maybe they are short staffed. There was only 2 people working and mainly one in the kitchen so be...

Very good food. However, when the bowls of picante came, my boyfriend said not to touch it because it’s obvious it came directly from another table. I told him, no way. But thank goodness it made me nervous enough because after our meal, the server took the bowls and put them directly on the table next to us. Didn’t even switch the spoons out! The poor guys started putting it on their food! Definitely not eating here again. Very dirty and unsanitary. I’ve never seen a restaurant move food from one table to another!!

Also, as others mentioned. Service is very slow. I finally gave up after asking for my bill multiple times and just handed the server 200...
