Palapa El Mazunte — Restaurant in Oaxaca

We have eaten at quite a few places in Mazunte so far. This was our first bad meal. Quite terrible. Even the coconuts they served us were warm and not good ones. The bathroom was terrible as well. No toilet paper. No flushing toilet. No soap. Had to dump a bucket of water in there. Not that it’s a huge deal, but we sat at the place next door yesterday: it was way more maintained. Very nice bathrooms. Seemed like they cared way more about the upkeep of their place. The server was attentive, no problems there. We sat in a beach chair but they also wanted 500 minimum spend. The service was great, but the food was terrible. I ordered lobster & it came severely burnt, tough & awful. I was really sad because I love lobster & I was shocked they served it. I don't speak Spanish & figured even if I did there was nothing to do if I said how disappointed I was. My husband had "rellano de marisces" (something unknown stuffed in mixed seafood). horrible place, I’m all about giving to local places, but there is a limit on how much you can take. I ordered fish, you think it’s fresh right? Not the case, beef jerky is better than this. I could not finish it, I had to leave it, it was a crime against the fish for using it on such way. You would think that they would at least try to be kind about it.
