Domino's Playa Del Carmen — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

You may not get your food. Lucky for us we had yet to pay.

I called at 5:48 pm received a call at 6:20 for better directions, pretty good regarding time at this point. Did my best to describe it and even gave cross streets... driver was still a bit confused and told me to use the number he called on to send him a whatsapp message regarding better directions. I sent him address and even a Google maps pinpoint at 6:24 pm. Did not receive and confirmation or information regarding my order. Called at 7:10 to follow up, they told me the driver tried but was not able to contact me. I told them basically what i wrote above^^^. They then said the driver had other deliveries and couldn't spend too much time on finding my address, which i would understand had i been given that information. They then said they would send the driver back, i asked if it would be the same food or would it be made fresh. They said the same food. that's when i told them to cancel because it's been well over an hour from the call and just about an hour from when the driver and i were in contact. Terrible service and terrible knowledge of the area.

For some reason, I do not have any similar experiences with this Dominos, as other reviews. (I have, however, had awful experiences with third party delivery services on nearly every single order throughout town.) I always order directly from the store (it’s super easy on their website, can be translated to English via Google, and they take COD if you prefer). Only once did the delivery scooter get a little lost for a new condo building, but he called straight away and we sorted it out with my mediocre Spanish. (This was tonight, and he ended up only arriving 4 minutes past the delivery window time of 28 minutes for two customized stuffed crust pizzas, a side, and sauces.)

When in town, I’ve ordered from Dominos nearly every visit (twice fifteen minutes before closing, even) and it is always quick, efficient, and consistently awesome. I swear the cheese stuffed crust pizzas taste better here than anywhere else.

It's takes a while to get your food. There was only 1 person ordering ahead of us in the restaurant, but we still waited about 20+ mins for 1 pizza.

Our pizza was barely cut even though it had a thin crust. We had to tear the ENTIRE pizza apart with our hands. I've had poorly cut pizzas before, but this was the worst.

However, the pizza itself was actually pretty good. It tasted just like Domino's from the US.

The tables were all dirty, but all of the employees were constantly busy behind the counter. So I'm guessing this location must be popular for delivery orders. I can't imagine how long delivery would've taken.

Overall, it seems that this location is struggling to keep up with demand. The only reason I'd go back is if my kid wanted it again or if I just had a really bad craving for it & was...
