Las Autenticas Marquesitas Gourmet — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

Listen up #Foodies, this is the snack you've been waiting for.... Listening to a friend describe it, I really wasn't sure I would like it at all. I'm not into sweets and cannot eat too much of things that are too sweet, but my friend assured me she was like me and didn't find it too sweet and that it is literally magic in your mouth. Spoiler alert... She was right!

It's essentially a rolled crepe stuffed with what you like of what they have on their cart (carts differ slightly and there were several of them in the park). My friend chose banana and cheese with Nutella (35 pesos). I had Nutella, banana, strawberry, and cheese (45 pesos). Once he rolls it up, he pinches one end and puts it in a short packet so you can hold it, then he stuffed the open end with more of your filling and slathers a strip along the top of the outside with more Nutella. He then garnishes that strip with more fruit to look pretty.

Warning! This is a two hand snack. You should support the crepe close to where you will bite, otherwise the crepe will fracture unexpectedly and you will lose pieces to the ground... And this treat is too good for that! 😂😂

Just when you think it can't get any better, you get half way down to where the cheese has gotten more melted......

No lava sus manos entre clientes y agarra dinero. He doesn't wash his hands and collects coins and bills himself, then serves the next customer. He has to cut fruit, chocolate, and practically every ingredient with his hands; he should wear gloves. Very dirty. And the presentation and flavor of the Marquesitas could be better; there are better...
