Not far off of the cultural sinkhole that is 5th Avenue lies a true oasis of culinary delight. Unassuming but charming bohemian décor was a breath of fresh air as we were treated to a journey of fresh spices and flavors. I have never been so floored by something as simple as guacamole, fresh made chips and sauces. The mezcalita was far and away the best I've ever had, and the delicious vegetable juices offered my digestive system a much needed break from the margarine soaked wasteland that is Mexican resort food. Absolutely the BEST food in all of Playa del Carmen … and even all of Cancun!!! Every dish from the appetizers to the main courses are culinary masterpieces by their chef, all with the freshest ingredients! Cannot compare their dishes to anything else in the area. We make a point of getting there for an early dinner by 5:30pm, as they are not open late. The steak & shrimp tacos are loaded full and savory! The barbacoa tacos are stacked high and come with the most delicious dipping sauce! Definitely one of the best restaurants i have eaten in Playa De Carmen. We casually walked in the restaurant not having much hopes but we were blown away by the taste, presentation and how well the food is prepared. My husband had an omlette with some kind of leaf and guacamole dip, some soft cheeze on the side and Habanero dip. It was so so yummy. I had garlic Shrimp with Habanero sauce and pumpkin seeds. The food was simply wow. The nachos were the best in entire Playa de Carmen. So crispy and thin layer. Price is reasonable and the staff is attentive and good.
