I recently dined at Señor Frog's restaurant and had a rather mixed experience with the service. While some employees went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service, my encounter with one particular waiter left much to be desired. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was promptly seated by a friendly hostess, and a waiter (an Argentinian girl, I didn't get her name) soon came to take my order. However, from that point onwards, I noticed a significant lack of attention from this particular waiter. They took my order efficiently, but unfortunately, that seemed to be the extent of their involvement during my visit. It was evident that the other employees were more attentive and responsive, which further highlighted the contrast in service quality.
One notable incident occurred when I requested the check and decided to leave a tip for the good service I had received from other staff members. When the same disengaged waiter returned with the bill, I attempted to offer a tip as a token of appreciation for the other employees. However, to my surprise, the waiter refused the tip and instead demanded a specific amount, insisting on a 20% gratuity.
As a customer, I believe tipping should be an optional gesture to acknowledge excellent service, not an obligation or demand. While I understand that tipping is customary in many places, it should be earned through attentive and courteous service.
On a positive note, I must commend the other employees at Señor Frog's for their outstanding customer service. Their efforts contributed to a more pleasant overall dining experience. In conclusion, Señor Frog's offers a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere with delicious food and beverages, but the inconsistency in service, especially from one particular waiter, can be frustrating for customers. I hope the management addresses this issue and emphasizes the importance of providing exceptional service to all diners. While I had a mixed experience, I will give the restaurant another chance in the future, hoping to encounter a more consistent level of service from all...
Read moreMy recent visit to Senor Frogs was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially drawn in by the lively atmosphere, my friends and I were quickly disillusioned by the exorbitant pricing tactics employed by this establishment. We ordered three small beers, clearly listed at $4 USD each, only to be shockingly billed $18 USD for each one, resulting in a total bill of $55.
Upon expressing our discontent with this blatant overcharge, the situation took an alarming turn as the staff threatened to involve the Mexican police. This aggressive response left us feeling harassed and uncomfortable. It's disheartening to encounter such dishonest practices in a place that caters to tourists.
To make matters worse, when the manager eventually intervened, instead of addressing our concerns with empathy, we were subjected to a thorough inspection of our drinks. This unnecessary scrutiny added insult to injury, making the overall experience deeply unpleasant.
The atmosphere that initially drew us in quickly transformed into an unsettling environment. Senor Frogs has left a lasting impression, but unfortunately, it's one of deception, intimidation, and poor customer service. I strongly advise anyone considering a visit to steer clear of this place to avoid a...
Read moreSat down given one menu for two within 1 minute asked if we were ready (we weren’t) then again after another few minutes. We didn’t take long to decide but made to feel as if we were. ordered food which came in good time however my enchiladas were the worst I’ve ever had covered in a vinegar tasting green sauce nothing like anything should taste. Only when the server came to collect the plates (mine all as when served minus I’d eaten the rice and beans they came with ) asked if something was wrong. I explained about the sauce taste and the fact the sauce was so watery it made them all soggy. (My husband said it was disgusting also so wasn’t just me ) the what I assume was the manager came and sorted meal coming out new but minus the sauce and other sauces kept in condiment dishes. Was much better although still not great tasting for price would expect tastier and better quality food. Also worth mentioning being constantly pestered by the shot girl in the middle of our meal and the guy trying his hardest to rowdy up the restaurant (audience being predominantly family’s with young children ) was kind of irritating and mid places as everyone was clearly just trying to enjoy their meal....
