Manceba — Restaurant in Querétaro

We stopped in a few days (afternoon) ago during the day and had a great visit. Service was fantastic!!!

We returned Tuesday early evening and the service was terrible. We waited 15 minutes my hus finally went to the bar and started ordering, an employee (same person who came through a couple of times nd didn't stop) was standing at the bar and tried taking our order. This person didn't bring plates out to another table that had cheese fondue... they were eating off the table.... gross. (I would have given it 5 stars for service, except for the service tonight!).

I guess we will only visit...

I was in here today, had a meal that totaled 95 pesos. Reached into my pocket and had a 20 peso note or a 500 peso note. Rather than get my billfold from my backpack, I gave the waiter the 500.

To which he returned me a 5 peso coin.

I explained his mistake, but he refused to acknowledge same. He said to go look, i guess in the till. I've been to Mexico three times in the past year, this was the first and only time I've had an unscrupulous vendor of any sort defraud me, lie, or otherwise be less than forthright.

Tourist trap. Avoid this place. They run promotions. Today was Wednesday: buy two wines and cheeses for the price of one - it took almost an hour for our server to bring the order. The caldo Cameron had only 3 shrimps in it and a couple of diced potatoes! The burrito was good. The prices are inexpensive but the quality of food and the speed of service at 3 pm were really bad! The promotion stated vino con queso. We were brought wine right away but it took an hour to get our queso… we did not eat queso and it was subtracted from our receipt....
