This Argentinian gem adds to the wonderful collection of culinary experiences on the island. The arepas fresh dough was made in front of our eyes, cooked and stuffed with delicious ingredients, we ordered the chicken and the beef arepas. Their artisan sodas were great as well. A storm arrived when our food was ready to take out and during the downpour the restaurant staff kindly ordered a taxi to pick me and my 6 yr old up (she loved the bar swings btw) to go directly to our hotel. In our rush we forgot our empanadas (ham and cheese, beef and spinach and garlic)…about 30 minutes later (still in the storm downpour) the empanadas arrived at our hotel, what service!!! They were also delicious! Thank you to Alta Gula for leaving us with a wonderful last night memory on Holbox, and a special thank...
Read moreArgentinian street food was okay but really nothing special. We had empanadas and patacon. Had a hair once served my empanada... I hadn't touched the mushroom empanada and and there was a black hair on it -nothing happened. Taste 3/3 - only five tiny prawns on my patacon (!) - but the hair on the empanada (which was not replaced as there were not anymore, but charged) makes one star less ergo 2/5
Ambiente: nice and clean, rap music somehow didn't match with the good vibes and Interieur. Nice possibility to sit on swings which is what attracted us. 5/5
Service was nice. 4/5

Read moreI wish we had the experience described in the others comments alas it feels like we went into a waiting simulator instead of a restaurant. Something went wrong tonight and I don't know why. I still don't understand how we waited between 40-50 min to receive 2 cold empanadas even though there was 3 cooks for ~10 customers. The waitress was kind and asked us (quite too late) if we wanted new ones but we had already eaten them and it would have been too much food. The portobello sandwich is clearly the highlight. Thanks otherwise it would have been a sad last dinner in Holbox. Though the tasty-looking, yet undercooked roasted potatoes were there to tarnish the final act and turned the meal into an...
