La Combi Holbox — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

It’s nice to offer some concerts but there are several unbelievable things that made the experience at La Combi and outside (see point #3) very bad. 1 - we did not get all the meals. Once the others had finished their dishes (not arrived at the same time) we had no other choice but to cancel the last dish. 2 - then we moved from the table to the smaller tables in the front to hear the concert and: the music was crazy loud at more than 100db according to the watch sensor, which is not safe and wastes the music produced by the musicians! we were asked without prior notice to pay $300MX minimum whereas the bill for the drinks at this table was around $100MX! 3- we thought we were done with La Combi but the worst was actually the concert they organized with 2 other loud bars in the middle of the night of the 12/28-12/29. The concert which was already very loud, started to be extremely loud from midnight and lasted until 4am! Staying in a hotel more than 5 blocks away, we all have been awaken and couldn’t sleep again! What’s the point to organize that kind of party so loud and at this time of the night? People I talked to the day after confirmed there were only very few people at this concert! Staff were very rude to us, we never got our food.

We stumbled upon the place and decided to try it. Ordered our food and a drink. The music was incredibly loud, I asked if they could turn it down but they said no (there were only two full tables in the restaurant). We actually couldn't hear each other speak it was so loud, it was like front row seats at a concert.

Then unfortunately the food just never arrived, after about 35 mins, we asked and the waiter just shoved his hand in our face (we assumed he was checking for us but we heard nothing back). Eventually it hit 1 hour since we ordered (about an hour and 15 mins since we arrived) so we decided to leave. I told the manager it was ridiculous and that we just want to pay for the drink and leave. He said it was cash only so we gave him some and asked for change - he then walked across the bar to get change, counted it out and whistled at me to come and get it off him instead of coming back and handing it to me.

TERRIBLE service, maybe good for a drink later in the night but I wouldn't eat here! The only saving grace was we went across the road and had an amazing meal for a similar price and great service - eat there instead (Complemento Coffee Shop and...

We felt attracted to this place from the loud salsa music and good energy but after ordering a client behind us left angry and didn’t pay the meal but couldn’t understand why as we don’t speak well Spanish. Anyway we ordered their Burger, which tooks more than 45 minutes to arrive and we understood the reason. It was a ridiculous burger from a tiny piece of frozen beef in a huge bun with two leaves of sad lettuce and dry avocados...the buns were so dry and the French fries was the only thing we could eat but defrosted fries... hygiene was bad, the sauce looked like used from someone else before us.
