Restaurante Gaudea — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

I will never be tired to repeat that this place is the most beautiful in Tulum. I can not give any bad comment even if I wanted. It is a hidden gem. When I came here on the first evening, it was too late and the kitchen was closing. The receptionist was very sorry about that. He was so welcoming and nice. He recommended another restaurant, which is very kind of him. I decided to come back here again on the next evening, because I loved Gaudea at first sight. Everything is perfect here. The food, the service, the ambience. There is a nice view around the restaurant perfectly designed. The whole scenery is surrounded by cozy houses and trees in the background. Such a peaceful and balanced place that preserves the nature while being modern and confortable at the same time. For sure, very classy and chic. I also appreciated a nice selection of music, that was not too loud. It is very important, because we are all looking for a quiet place. The drinks and food were very delicious, prepared with love and passion, which is very difficult to find in Tulum. It is obvious that the employees of Gaudea are happy with their position and they do like their profession and give a lot of efforts to please their clients. Everything about this restaurant was perfect! We liked it so much that we had visited it two times in a 3 day visit to Tulum. 😊 We actually didn’t know what to expect because we chose restaurant on the basis that it was walking distance to our Airbnb, but when we walked through the gates we were blown away by it’s absolutely stunning ambiance. Food was amazing, atmosphere beautiful but unfortunately service was bad. We waited 40 mins for a table (they weren’t busy at all) then we waited another 40 mins for food and they messed up the order, didn’t offer anything and proceeded to charge $150 pesos for water which is $10 for water … after messing up our dinner. Anyways, great place but bad service. Also, I had medicine on my plate and I don’t know why someone picked up my plate and I lost my medicine.
