El Galán☕️🍓✨🇲🇽🌞
Your next breakfast spot in La Veleta, Tulum !! 📍
We tried the Motuleño style eggs (fried eggs on toasts with refried beans, topped with tomato sauce, peas, cooked ham, grated fresh cheese and half cream, served with rice and fried plantain)..so tasty !! And who said you can’t have a burrito for breakfast, especially when it’s filled with spinach & eggs😍
A banana milkshake and strawberry smoothie to start the day !! 🍓🍌along with a espresso & cappuccino is JUST what you need✨
Did you know that El Galán has 3 floors ?!!! We already visited the first floor for breakfast but we had to come back to have a drink on the rooftop and enjoy a meal on the second !!! 🍹Each floor is wonderful.. can we just say the menu selection here is amazing !!! So so much to choose from, you really are spoilt for choice😍
On the rooftop we enjoyed a Lemon Daquiri and a simple vodka & tonic.. accompanied by the tastiest appetisers✨ I went for the Bruschettas with Serrano ham and mozzarella, and Josh chose the cheese stuffed jalapeños. Delicious !! There’s also a pool on the rooftop so you can definitely spend an afternoon there and enjoy some good food🌞
Onto the second floor, we were in the mood for a healthy juice so we went for the Milagroso. Pineapple, chaya, ginger, mint & lemon.. the most refreshing drink ever 🧃 For our mains, I chose the Fusilli with pesto & shrimps and Josh went for the Grilled Salmon.. both incredible !! It took us a while to decide with all of the tasty things they have on the menu !!🤣
Now Josh was in his element as inside there is a pool table you can enjoy !! 🎱 With a Baileys & a Tiramisu, this was the best way to end our evening at El Galán, and we had the best time !!

Read moreMy wife and I visited El Galán for the rooftop bar experience, and overall, it was a very pleasant evening. The atmosphere was lovely, with beautiful bars both upstairs and downstairs. The setting was comfortable and welcoming, with a decent view to enjoy as we relaxed.
The ceviche was the highlight of the night—absolutely delicious and worth the visit. The pricing felt reasonable; we paid about 275 MXN each, including tip.
The only thing holding me back from giving a full 5 stars is the margarita. It was served in what felt like a small water glass, which was disappointing, especially since we’re in Mexico, the birthplace of the margarita. I was expecting a larger, more traditional serving—something closer to a 16 oz hombré, not a 4 oz taster.
While the ambiance and food were excellent, I probably wouldn’t return due to the drink size. That said, El Galán is still a great spot, and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for tasty ceviche, a relaxed rooftop vibe, and not too motivated by the drinks.
UPDATE - I’ve found that about 50% of the places here serve a margarita in, what I would describe, as a small glass. So, there’s that.
Secondly, my wife and I both got sick following our visit. My guess is the ceviché. It took a couple of...
Read moreUpdate on my review September 15,2024 the owner of the galán says don’t order from Rappi then don’t sell items in the first place to purchase… It’s not RAPPI’S responsibility for quality that’s YOUR responsibility your the restaurant!!!! it’s not RAPPI’S fault on the pricing or SIZE or presentation of your version of a Banana Split!!!
What’s your excuse for the empty CREPE we received? There was no Nutella or dulce de leche in our crepes when we opened the cold crepes it had hardly any filling of Nutella or Dulce de leche!!! Don’t make excuses and makes things right for the customer- end of story!
My advice as an owner myself is watch your employees and what they are doing and how they are preparing items off our menu! Completely unsatisfactory!!!
Overpriced & old. desserts…. We ordered 1 banana split the portion size for the price is offensive and the ice cream arrived like a SOUP Then we ordered 2 crepes 1 Nutella & 1 Dulce de leche they tasted old and arrived cold! We’ve had dinner it’s was overpriced and just nasty food!! Pass pass pass...
