Cocay — Restaurant in Cancún

This is the main buffet at the Grand Park Royal. We ate here for breakfast and dinner. Standard hotel food.

Breakfast is very noisy, I'd suggest eating outside. They have the usual breakfast fare. The service is the real issue, if you sit at a table without utensils, it can take a while to get some, ditto the coffee, one morning we had the time to eat our breakfast before we got a cup of coffee. And for some reason, no bacon.

We prefered to eat at the Italian place for breakfast, quiet, but less choice.

Dinner, it's ok, there was always rice, chicken, pasta, salads, service is better at night. Some hits some misses, there is always a theme and a made to order station. Not gourmet by any means, but standard hotel food rarely is. The taco set up outside next to the buffet has great tacos, but...

There are many dishes that just don't taste good. At breakfast the frijoles were very liquid, you can't even eat them with your fork, for a Mexican this could be considered an insult. The bread also was terrible, but the eggs that a guy made at the moment were excellent. At lunch, the pasta was really bad, and the guacamole didn't taste like avocado. Desayunamos y almorzamos aquí por una semana como parte del all inclusive.

Comida: gran variedad de opciones veganas; frutas, verduras frescas y cocidas, ensaladas de legumbres, arroz con vegetales, pasta y algunos panes/cereales. Punto a mejorar y sugerencias: contaminación: en vez de poner las pinzas y utencillos para servirse los alimentos en un plato adelante, ubicarlos arriba o al lado de cada comida para evitar que, por ejemplo, el tomate termine con restos de queso o yogurt por otra comida ya que la gente uso la misma pinza para servise de ambos. Punto a destacar: cuando mencioné esto a alguien del equipo, comencé a ver que ponían utensillos individuales para cada comida. información sobre la comida: hay preparaciones que no se sabe qué tienen y estaría buenísimo si pudieran hacer pequeños indicadores sobre las comidas indicando si tienen lácteos o/y alguno de los alérgenos más comunes. Más que nada en los panificados y en las preparaciones calientes.

Servicio: lo mejor de mi experiencia. Todos super atentos, amables y cordiales. He ido muchas veces al buffet ya que desayunamos y almorzamos todos los días y la atención ha sido siempre impecable!

Lugar: tengo entendido que lo van a renovar dentro de poco, tiene muchísimo potencial y espero que lo sepan aprovechar. Por favor, mejoren el diseño de la planta alta, nos sentaron dos veces en las mesas en los huecos de la pared y es super...
