Such a charming local cafe.

Fantastic food from the complimentary chips and salsa and beans to the entrees and cake.

We ordered the Jamaican drink with Hibiscus and cinnamon. Large serving and very flavorful.

The soup of the day was Chicken and their take on this local classic included al dente veggies, which was a nice touch and made the soup much heartier. It was also served with the usual red onions, fresh cilantro, lime wedges, and avocado.

Very tasty soup with a really good broth, which is key.

We also ordered the pork panini, which was large enough to share, and included a lightly dressed salad with black sesame seeds, and a German potato salad. The pork was flavorful and tender and the flavors were a great combo on very good bread.

Since my husband chose this cafe based on the desert selections, he had to get the carrot cake, which was very moist, dense and not too sweet.

All in all, a great meal in a charming setting. We dined outside, but there are two dining rooms inside. The one with a fireplace would be a cozy spot on cold nights.

Highly recommend and we'll be back to enjoy their highly popular Chilaquiles for...

One of the BEST PLACES IN TOWN Living in San miguel since 10 years, I am a frequent guest here, so am very happy to state, that Cafe Rama is just perfect for having a good meal, good cake, and spend a PERFECT time ! NEVER over the years I was disappointed about the food. I love the salmon bagel they serve, and the salmon is ALWAYS good. Yes, there are some times, the salmon is only GOOD, but MOST times it is EXCELLENT ;-) Their cakes are just awesome, and the service is EXCELLENT also.

sometimes live piano music is played, and all the special art and the kind of "crazy" presentation of paintings etc. are helpng to make this palce outstanding. I used to work for hours on my laptop here, so i had breakfast, lunch and dinner here on the same day, and was able to see the service, guests, and performance over days - LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!!

Is there something you could do better ? Well, I think it would be hard to find something - maybe to have chantily available more frequent, hihi ?

THANK YOU - this is the way a place is run PERFECT !!!!!

Very...

8 years ago I gave this place 5 stars.

Update February 2020. Do not order the French fries... I wanted a snack with my beer.. Undercooked.. Zero spice... Cut up almost as small as hash browns. Absolute rubbish.

December 2020 First the owner. I've been going there for 8 years.. Rarely smiles.. Rarely says hello. I eat alone most of the time... a feeling of being welcome is something I look for.

The wait staff... Good luck finding them! Only 3 tables to attend to and the waiters were never in sight!

The food... Lunch with a freind today.. She had a panini sandwich I had a boring salad with some grilled salmon. The salad was only lettuce.. avocado and topped with grilled salmon. 2 beers and a glass of lemonade. 750 pesos for a boring lunch....

What a pleasant surprise as some local friends invited me to dine for lunch! This eclectic Cafe will keep your interest and eyes busy while you enjoy some fantastic food. The artwork and eclectic decor is perfect. The entrees chosen were: Chilaquiles Verde Rama, Green Enchiladas Rama and Huevos Reventon Con Champinones Y Ejotes. Each of thoroughly enjoyed every bite. They serve fantastic breakfast items "all day" or our you can choose from Appetizers, Main Dishes or Sandwiches. Many Beer, wine and cocktails are offered or if you prefer to choose a delightful juice. The background music caused my foot to tap with contempment! Go and enjoy!

Strolling by, we saw the funky decor and immediately inquired about a table for two plus one (our dog). Being new in town, we were struggling with the menu and voila, the server gives us English menus. Gracias! We ordered Huevos Rancheros and Croque Monsier Both were very good and were proceeded by fresh bread, butter, and jam - yum. We couldn’t leave without tasting one of the cakes on display. The German Chocolate had a nut and coconut frosting and went well with our cappuccinos. All this for about $30 US. Mucho bien!
