I’m a little disappointed in our lunch (14:00) today. Saturday night I came around 9pm and ordered pozole verde to go, and it was the best pozole verde I’ve eaten in a long while. The chicken was moist, the seasoning was perfection, even the tostadas were tasty.
Today’s lunch was subpar. I was excited to bring my mother here to eat their enchiladas and well they were cold. I don’t think they are supposed to be cold. The palmitas was warmer than the enchiladas, season nicely but no very enticing. The fideo seco was simple and pleasing. Out of the very thing we enjoyed the nopales and jicama pico de gallo the best.
For service I wasn’t sure if they said they were going on vacation in “two days” or “today”. Lunch and approaching vacation likely means less than standard quality service and food.
Maybe the chef is different during the day or went home early. I give them a 4 star however because the pozole...
Read moreDon’t recommend this place, I am 14 years young and ordered a frozen lemonade, keep in mind that I ordered in a very clear tone and did not hint to any alcohol. When I received my drink both the waiter and the bartender came, the bartender whispered in my ear and said 20% (WICH MEANS 20% TEQUILA WICH IS ALCOHOL ) My friend asked the waiter if there was alcohol Jokingly he said that, there is some alcohol, than said “ just kidding “As he was also clearly nervous, I continued to try the drink and IT CLEARLY HAD ALCOHOL!!! We ended up returning the drink, again the bartender was clearly nervous, he brought us another drink, and then repeated the process of saying all this time I put more alcohol in it, he was joking , but it made me very uncomfortable and did not feel confident in this restaurant. This has been the worst drink experience I have ever had especially in San...
Read moreHad only been here twice in the many years I've been coming and it was not a place I would have necessarily gone out of my way but ALL that had changed and it's now my weekly go to place even if I just need to relax and have a snack.
Wow, the terrace is pretty fab with all sorts of small nooks to sit. I like to sit at the table closest to the edge of the patio with a small view of the Parroquia. Me and my comadre only had guacamole and drinks but it was some of the best guac I've had in a long time. Service was very special. Some really different cocktails. We returned that Friday evening to listen to Woody and his band. They were on fire that evening!!! This is a great place to kick off a Friday. They have 2 for one drink...
