Last week I went and waited 15 minutes, no one came to take my order—before I sat down I asked at the register if I ordered there or at the table. They said table, they knew I was there. I gave up and left.
I thought I’d try again, this time I’d place my order at the register. The woman was doing something at the computer, so I thought, ok I know what that’s like when you’re trying to do something.
She never looked up at me and continued to enter receipts into the computer. So I left.
I’ve tried twice, but the feeling I get is that they’re doing you a favor, they’ll get to you when they can.
Same experience buying at the shop, I bought a big bag of things and had to wait while employees were hanging out, they finally acknowledgedI was at the register and barely said two words to me.
I eat a plant based diet so I really wanted to support them—but I always leave with a bad feeling.
Oh well. There’s another shop I can go to has plant based products. It would be nice to be able to go out to eat occasionally for a vegan meal, somewhere people are friendly and there’s a sense of community, not just commerce and a chilly, unfriendly atmosphere.
Reply to owner—I tried three times and each time the staff was unfriendly and behaved like the customers were an inconvenience to...
Read moreI went for the first (and last) time for lunch around 2pm, I had to wait 35 minutes (restaurant was empty, there were two customers, one waiting for the check and the other ordered and got served). After that time the waitress was apologizing with us (we asked for two salads), she said that the kitchen had problems with a huge delivery (I didn’t see anyone coming in to pick up the huge order, the restaurant is tiny), and that our salads where coming right out. At that point I asked if please they could give us the salads “to go” it was almost 3 pm, she said yes sure! Anything was happening so because we had to leave (we thought that going there for two salads, we had one hour time, it could be enough), as I approached the kitchen, I had the pleasant surprise that everyone in the kitchen was sitting, chatting and eating and no salads ready to go even it the waitress was giving looks and squeezing her eye to the people in the kitchen tell them “the salads are ready, right?” And obviously nothing was even taken out from the fridge. I don’t know…I would make any effort to make my guests happy, even if my restaurant would be full of people and I would have a line outside waiting...
Read moreWe have been here several times and every time impressions was different. My husband is not vegan, so he really liked caesar wrap with chicken (though on one day it was really juicy and there was lots of sauce, on other day it had almost no sauce and tasted dry). He also liked Mediterranean bowl. I liked it too, but Mexicano was also nice. Tofu scramble was poor, small portion, insipid taste. Vegan wrap is absolutely same as Mediterranean bowl, but they added MUCH more balsamic vinegar and wrapped the salad in tortillas ;(( Better try bowl! Vegan sandwich was poor too, I didn’t even eat it. In menu it says there is pesto sauce, but they put it like a DROP 🥲 of it, and it had rotten taste and smell. Then cheap bread, bunch of spinach, drops of mustard and a little bit avocado… I returned it. Be aware of rotten spinach leaves and lettuce. I tried Afrodisiaco juice, it was really good. If you look for quality and good taste definitely go to Nutty Treesome cafe in Downtown, those guys will treat you as best friends, and they care about quality of ingredients. You will find awesome sushi and best ever burgers, you’ll love it even if...
