Sea Trek Cozumel — Attraction in San Miguel de Cozumel

This experience was very disappointing! I booked this excursion for my birthday and this was the main excursion I was looking forward to. I arrived on my birthday, did the excursion, even convinced my mother, who is afraid of anything above or below land, to participate. She did the excursion with me and it was the highlight of our trip until we were told it would take an hour to receive the link to our photos and after not receiving anything, I reached out and was told that our photos were lost even though he showed us our photos before we left. I took really nice videos and photos under water and with it being my birthday I was really looking forward to receiving them as well as the pictures of my mother’s first time doing something daring. Them losing our photos really ruined our experience. I would not recommend them. We tipped them and was very nice to them so it’s a slap in the face for them to purposely not send our photos and videos. The guy that was supposed to send our photos told me he would not charge me because we did not take enough photos for him to sell us the package which is why i believe they aren’t sending them to us but I told him multiple times I would pay for the photos even if we didn’t have enough, we did not mind paying for the package, we just wanted the memories. Very disappointing! We paid for 2 people to sea trek for 2 hours! We started at 12:30 and were done by 12:55. We didn’t even want to finish our time, we were very happy to had done it for that little while & was even more happy thinking we were receiving memories of us doing it. Not only did we tip, but we paid full price & opted out of going the entire time so they were paid double for time that was not used & all we asked for were our pictures which we didn’t mind paying...

We had a very bad experience with Sea Trek and Snuba Cozumel. Their sales company is different and they give booking times/slots which are not aligned with on their operational division and available equipment's.

We faced a number of issues :

We were given a 12pm slot for 5 people whereas they have only 4 equipment available. When we asked the person on the ground Jose about why we were given 12 pm time for snuba they told that it is given by sales folks and they dont have idea about the on the ground reality. Clearly there is disconnect between sales and operations

Because of this mis-management we had to face delays and that affected our schedule.

3 Snuba and sea trek cannot happen at the same time and again there is less sea masks (only 8)compared to the number of people who you book at the time of reservations . We spent a lot of time fighting with Jose on the ground really wanting to go as a family together but they could not help us.

Obviously, it is unfair to expect that the group will wait for the whole day because of lack of staff or lack of equipment at their end . We had arrived around 11am for our 12pm SNUBA slot but our turn for snuba didnt come till 2:30.

We tried sharing our challenges with the management company and they paid no heed at all and refused to refund our money. We paid for 3 people and DID NOT get to do snuba becaus e of delays and mismanagement. And we DID NOT GET OUR MONEY BACK.

Moreover nobody ever mentioned that snuba and sea trek cannot happen at the same time else we would not have made the bookings for our group.

Really horrible experience and absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED for cruise folks who are...

OMG!!! You have got to try this!!! If you're a floater like me and cannot dive underwater without being weighed down this is the excursion for you. It was fun, so breathtaking and exhilarating to be underwater and walking on the sea floor. I was just marveled and amazed to see things up front without a glass wall between me and the marine life. I loved every minute of this excursion!! 😍 So much happiness in my heart to feed the fish and have them swimming around me. I even got to hold a spiny crab, in other terms a very terrifying sea spider. Something of what nightmares are made of, but soooooo AWESOME! The staff was amazing and informative. Jose and his crew are the BEST!! We were treated to a couple of drinks afterwards. It was just beautiful to sit by the water, drink our margaritas and take in views of the ocean reminiscing on the things we just witnessed under water which are now forever in my memory bank. I am forever grateful to my wonderful hubby for booking this for us. He's a diver and this was the first time for us to experience the wonderful world of underwater...
