Chez Ame is a hidden gem. I was walking from my VRBO to a Mexican restaurant that had good reviews, and when I got there, the restaurant was closed. Disappointed, I walked over to the next block to walk back towards my accommodations. And, right as I turned the corner, was this quaint little restaurant. Hungry, and without a destination, I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. I ordered the Chez Ame salad to start. It was a nice portion of lettuce, pears, cranraisons, pecans, goat cheese, and topped with a drizzle of this amazing dressing. As my main course, I ordered their pesto fettuccine and added chicken. The pasta didn't disappoint! The flavor was wonderful, sautéed cherry tomatoes, pesto fettuccine noodles, and olive oil. It is topped with a large portion of grilled chicken. Several people got involved and there were many trips back and forth between the kitchen and the bar before a very chunky and frozen situation was served. A knife would have been more useful than the straw provided. Also avoid the shrimp. They still have their poop veins in them. It wasn’t French.
