Mi Pueblito — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

Close to the cruise and has a great selection of sauces. Me and my family Visited this restaurant, and we were kinda unsure about the menu at first, but after we actually got something, we loved it. I had the empanadas, which is great the guac. My brother had the tacos and was loving the little green spicy sauce. He just put it all over his tacos, and our mom had the Choriqueso, which she was worried might be too hot, but it turned out good. Overall, it's a great spot to eat if you're just arriving to cozumel and unsure of going too far. Just swing on by and get some good food while you build up the courage to get out there. The waiter who changed his name twice Arturo and later Tomas, was nice. The food was not great. I ordered the typical dish from there (cochinita pibil). After 5 minutes, he came back and said that the cochinita pibil was still being cooked, so I said that it was fine, I had time, he said, we don't have any. After I told him that I would only pay for my daughter's food and my drink, he came back and said that they had it. I questioned him on how all of the sudden they had it. To what he said, was " the cook is new and didn't see it." When he brought it, the tortillas were cold and the so called meat was dry, the amount of food and quality was very poor. Do not expect super fast food as it is made with a lot of care .The corn tortillas were spot on for temperature, taste and size. The Al Pastor were nice as was the cochinita pibil. The Ceviche was an absolute revelation. It was so perfectly made.The acidity perfectly complemented the superb fresh fish and seafood.
