I went into this fine establishment after walking around the tourist trap which essentially was a prison once we got off our cruise ship as there was only 1 way in and 1 way out of this massive tourist trap of shops and boutiques that we were physically forced to walk through to get to the otherside where taxis were!! I walked through an opening and was immediately told by guards to turn back around and enter the shopping area which is about 3 blocks long and once I made it out of the shopping area I was EXACTLY where I was 15 minutes prior to being asked to turn around and walk through all the shops!!!
I enjoy shopping alot but I DO NOT want to be forced to shop, I also cannot stand when the vendors beg and plead with me to come in and look at the junk they are selling and most of them are rude and vicious when you say no thanks as they immediately either talk in foreign language about us or simply make fun somehow!!
I enjoy helping the locals when I travel and I quite often purchase items I do not even want only to help them out but to place an entire cruise ship of 3000+ people into a shopping area that pretty much forces you to walk entirely through is just complete and utter wrong and hopefully others feel the same way as I do and they will change their approach in the future,
We had to be at taxi within 20 minutes of exiting ship so we could make our destination in time and had no time for shopping and would have been perfectly fine with walking entire shopping area after our excursion was completed if we were not forced to walk through it to begin our day as it took the enjoyment and pleasure out of the mystery of what was offered in the shops. Most people on cruise ships enjoy doing their excursions first and then look forward to shopping afterwards to close out the day and to NOT have to carry purchses with them all day and we are no different and this particular port of call sucked the enjoyment out by placing us inside the huge shopping...
Read moreI wanted to share a wonderful thing about Margaritaville at the International Pier where Royal Caribbean docks. While waiting for our friends to meet us so we could board, we sat down at a table .to relax for a few moments. My small cruise purse with my sunglasses were on the table behind me . In a rush, we left the table, not realizing the purse with sunglasses were still on the table. After ship sailed and searching the cabin, we realized the bag was left at Margaritaville. With the help of a friend, we were able to reach out to them on their website and Roberto Cuevas with Margaritaville called my husband and they had my purse and my sunglasses. A waiter had picked them up and took it to their office. Everything was still in it. Roberto went above and beyond to help me get them back. He went out of his way to fedex them back to me. Today, my purse and my sunglasses arrived. Even though they were held up in Miami in customs. I am so grateful to Roberto Cuevas for all his help and effort with phone calls, texts, and taking the time at fedex to get my belongings back to me. The sunglasses had sentimental value. I thought they were gone forever. Thank you Margaritaville for having honest people working for you and taking care of your customers. When debarking the ship, we will definately stop there first to thank...

All that money down the drain for terrible frozen food.
We loved coming to Margaritaville when stopping in Cozumel. It was always a favorite food spot for good eats and beautiful views.
But now they’ve cut down their menu to basic bland fare and upped the prices and needless antics.
The only edible thing we ordered were the nachos.
The boneless wings were just nuggets. The carrots and celery on the plate were old.
The fish tacos were awful. Some of the fish pieces were slimy…others were so fishy I had to spit it out. Two bites in and I stopped eating. The “salsa” was a disgrace to any discerning palate. I’d rather eat Taco Bell hot sauce.
The steak tacos were chewy, unpalatable and under seasoned.
In addition to the bad food, there was a young woman going around offering shots. IN THE SAME SHOT GLASS. That is completely unsanitary and unsafe. In a post COVID world, you would think cleanliness was important. Or, at the very least, we learned the importance of hygiene and basic health safety. We saw her give a shot to an older Caucasian man, give the glass a quick shake, and turn around and give a shot to a young Hispanic male. Hopefully neither of them walked away from a bad expensive meal with a side of disease.
Do not eat here. Run...
