Parole Tulum — Restaurant in Tulum

For $50 USD for a plate of pasta you would expect to at least get a piece of protein included.

Overall had a good valentines dinner experience here. Restaurant was decorated nicely. We were provided table bread (complimentary) and even got a second portion when we asked for more.

Upon arriving they asked if we wanted water, we said yes but then on the bill it cost 200 pesos.

The menu has good options but of course very overpriced.

Pasta is not handmade or anything crazy so it’s hard to justify the prices, especially since most pastas do not come with protein. We asked how much to add some salmon or fish to our pasta and they said 900 pesos.

We sent back the carbonara as it was way too salty and the pasta was mush from being overcooked.

We both ate the rigatoni and it was a nice portion and had great flavor. Again wish there was some protein on the plate for the price tag paid.

They manually add a 20% tip without asking so make sure to not tip extra unless you want to.

The service was attentive but our server in particular was hard to hear him and he didn’t seem to know the menu well.

Would’ve stayed for some sisha but again 1800 pesos for hookah is just crazy. Especially since this restaurant is NOT beachside.

Also the music is very loud and not cohesive with the vibes.

Would give 4 stars because it was overall a great dinner and delicious food and wine. But the restaurant lacks the elevated cuisine for the price they are charging.

SERVICE: From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. FREDRICO, our waiter, was the star of the evening. His warm hospitality, deep knowledge of the menu, and excellent recommendations made our experience unforgettable. Every single staff member, from the hostess to the serving team, exemplified this same genuine care and attentiveness. It’s rare to find such incredible service across the board, and Perol truly shines in this regard.

FOOD: Now, let’s talk about the food—it’s exceptional. The focaccia was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Fluffy like a cloud and clearly fresh-made, it set the tone for the meal. The burrata and tomato appetizer was simply heavenly, with fresh, vibrant flavors that paired perfectly.

For our mains, we tried the beef lasagna and potato gnocchi, both of which were outstanding. The lasagna was hearty and flavorful, while the gnocchi struck the perfect balance of pillowy softness and bold, punchy flavor, likely from the parmesan. As a side, the potatoes were a delightful addition.

I was in town for a friends birthday we had a party of 14 the food was horrific we practically returned almost every meal uneaten but that wasn’t the problem the BIGGEST problem is the manager at this place. For context we are from america and they completely over charged us First problem we had one person at our table so a separate check that was about 9k pesos and we all thought we were getting separate checks we got it on one it was about 17k pesos we all paid and realized the money wasn’t adding up everyone paid exact amount and we some how we’re still almost 500 USD DOLLARS short it made no sense we kept going back and fourth and the manger came he wouldn’t separate the checks after an hour of review we realized the one person who paid 9k pesos almost every item they had was included to other separate tab the manger tried to convince us it was normal for it appear twice on both receipts which it’s NOT eventually he corrected it after embarrassing us and making all of is completely frustrated and made us stay over an hour and half for their error they never apologized or did anything turns out we were only 91 dollars short not 500.
