Resort: Beautiful resort, very unique in terms of build out / architecture layout. It is all round shaped buildings (reminds me of little space ships). That does make a bit challenging getting from one side to another - access to pools and restaurants is a bit cumbersome. Elevators need some work.
Restaurants:
Jasmine restaurant wasnât the best to call it âSecrets-gradeâ. They should rethink of naming some menu items such as instead of butter chicken curry - call it what it is I.e. âyellow curry with chickenâ.
Med restaurant is good.
Blue water restaurant is also good but be ready to get bitten by little friends (not sure why resort simply canât put a mosquito safe candle or torches). Kills the vibe tbh. Food is great here. Probably the best.
breakfast buffet at Market is also good food and variety at the buffet. Did not try preferred breakfast.
not many avail during dinner time. Not sure how this will scale when resort is at capacity. We already had to wait with smaller capacity during build phase.
Rooms: different layout but good. Should fix showers (cold) floors not a fan of - very dirt-heavy prone and slippers werenât offered (had to put a request). fans only have one speed and you do need them ON or else little friends will be after you. Swim out pool was unusable - very cold water.
Pools: nicely done not a fan of sand when it is not needed hard to get to pools. Due to how buildings are structured.
Spa: good hydrotherapy and massage things to improve: sauna (think it is too big and not enuf heat), properly label services, digital lockers are not reliable.
Drinks: probably the worst here. Very meh compared to other UVC resorts in the area. Even some of the basics (margarita etc is bad). Had much better drinks outside the resort.
Service team (bar) also doesnât know what Preferred is?
Restaurant service: Very mid. For example: service at the market breakfast is the worse; had to wait very long for coffee, spoons werenât avail, napkins were not avail, cutlery missing and not for us to grab from somewhere. Suggestion is to perhaps bring some teaching guidance from on other resorts such as Secrets Playa or Akumal here and train people. Everyone is nice but just needs a bit more...
Read moreThis beach club is absolutely spectacular. We stayed @ Secrets Tulum resort for 11 nights in December and we visited the beach club multiple times. The food is incredible - highly recommend the guac and skewers. We loved the sausage skewers and the rib eye skewers. Security is great at the beach club.
The views and actual ocean part are stunning. One of the nicest beach fronts we have ever been too. We swam in the ocean a ton, it is so calm (most days) no rocks or seaweed on the beach. You can walk down the beach easily and check out the other spots plus you can walk on the main road strip and check out some cute local boutiques.
The staff at the beach club were so attentive and amazing. We always had everything we wanted at all times. No issues with the shuttle back and forth from the hotel it was on time and always running.
Highly recommend bringing bug spray!! My legs unfortunately got attacked by bugs here, but luckily there was a pharmacy right beside the beach club and I was able to get some medications to help my allergy reaction.
Overall this place is absolutely 10/10 and we would definitely come back! Miss this...
Read moreRafael took care of us all week and it was lovely. The beach club for secrets is designed well and has everything you need all in one place. Good food, unlimited drinks, shade, pool, cabanas, & Tulum music vibe all on the beautiful ocean. The all inclusive resort is the way to go. We stepped foot out of the resort one day and got super charged for everything that we get for free at the resort - plus we look like stray cats looking for an overpriced seat / chair on the beach when we have it all right at home.
Bless all the staff here that keep the food and drinking...
