A complete disgrace and digustful experience. The first and most important lesson I have learned about the restaurant service industry is to not lie to your patrons. It is the most important responsibility of waitstaff to keep clients abreast of what is happening to the quality of service that will be provided that evening. May it be good or may it be bad. I can accept a error if truthfully explained.
Well, first off, our group was charged 200 pesos for an entry fee firsthand for the 4 of us. We were seated and ordered a bucket of beer as recommended by our waiter. When the bucket of beers finally came out 20 minutes later, there was no ice in the bucket! Not one cube. I asked as to why we can't keep our beers on ice as it's 85 degrees outside. And will get warm in 5 minutes. The waiter just said, we are out of ice. No apology. Nothing. Well that just nixed a second round of beers for us. I said to the waiter, how can you operate an establishment that would highly depend on ice to fulfill its obligation to their clients to make their experience a comfortable one. I did not get an answer. Of course, the manager is probably somewhere in the Bahamas with an ice-cold drink. But not where he should be.
The sandwich I ordered did not come the way I ordered it. And when the bill came, I told the waiter about the lack of service. The look from him convied that I was the problem. What a joke of an establishment. 300 patrons and only saw 3 wait staff.
I then told the bouncer at the bottom floor why would you charge me 200 pesos knowingly that Ice will not be provided? He said he didn't know. I'm glad that other patrons that heard what I said expressed their concern and hopefully went somewhere else.
This place is a clip joint. I do not write scathing reviews, but this one is one of the most unacceptable establishments that I have ever been to. All he had to say that there was no ice, and I would have ordered one beer at a time. Horrible establishment. They should be ashamed of themselves. But that would be...
Read moreI'm not really happy about this restaurant. In the beginning, I was, but it changed during the many things that went wrong. In general, the place is nice. Especially the rooftop. It has a pretty view over the castle.
The food is okay. Not very good for vegetarians. They have vegan pasta and vegan nachos (which both were okay), but the vegetarian tacos and burritos are only with cheese (that's what they said).
The service is slow, doesn't matter how busy the restaurant is.
I ordered a salad and it came without dressing. I waited a bit because I thought they might deliver it separately (which they did with our drinks). I asked one of the waiters if I can have a dressing or just oil for my salad. He forgot that, of course. I asked another waiter and he brought the dressing after 5 or more minutes. In total, I think it was about half an hour between receiving my salad and receiving the sauce.
They didn't have enough cold beer. Instead of saying something like "excuse me, we don't have any more cold Heineken. Do you want another sort of beer or do you still want it?" they brought the beer and a glass of ice cubes. That means we should put the beer in the class to cool down, but drink it before it gets too watery. I never witnessed something like this before. It's actually funny, but has nothing to do with a...
Read moreSolo female traveler here. The place offers great live music, the restaurant is located across the Convento San Bernardino de Siena and has great views. Food was ok. And the young waiter was friendly. But after paying an entrance fee for a busy live event my table was taken the moment I went to dance forcing me to stand around afterwards and then I was treated as if I was trying to leave without paying or like they wanted me to leave. At this point I expressed my discomfort and they offered me a new table but I wasn't feeling comfortable enough to stay. I didn't want to feel like I wouldn't be able to leave my table to dance or go to the bathroom without others taking the table and the restaurant allowing that. Not a...
