I stayed here for three nights (was supposed to be 2) and the end of a 7 (was supposed to be 6) day stay in Valladolid. It was my third visit to the town, so I was interested in trying new properties. The standout elements of the hotel are:
Staff. They could not have been nicer. Bladamir, the director, the man who serves breakfast (special mention - I watched him, patiently and in English, help a couple find breakfast options for their picky children,) and the man who works the desk in the morning and the young lady who works the desk at night were all perfect. Welcoming and personable. They offered me breakfast on the day of my arrival when I dropped my bags off at 9 a.m. They helped me book another night when Delta changed my flight. Really nice people and the cleaning staff did a great job too. They communicate quickly and clearly through What'sApp.
Location- Basically, there are four good neighborhoods to stay in Valladolid - by the main square, by the convent, by Candelaria Park, or by San Juan Park. This is as close to the convent as it gets. Very convenient with a convivial atmosphere in the evening. It was still quiet at night for sleeping, even on my last night when I had a small, front-facing room.
Comfort. The water pressure and temperature were good, the property had ample common space to lounge, the rooms are large and so tasteful, with good lighting. The breakfast had plenty of options and was tasty and fresh.
No real problems to report. Some suggestions for improvement though: 1. Have a public garrafon to refill bottles. 2. Put conditioner in rooms with the soap and shampoo, and 3. reseal the wood by the pool deck, which is already warping/cracking.
In all, I thought there was good value for money here and I would stay again. I think it is worth spending a bit of extra money for a "jardin" room - they have private balconies...

The location of hotel is great, it's at one end of Calz. de Los Frailes, the beautiful spanish style street with nice restaurants and shops. I personally prefer this side of this street, because aother end is busier and noisier, and the hotel rooms there are smaller and older.
This hotel is a small design hotel. It's new and clean, with beautiful Spanish/Yucatan decoration. The hotel is by a huge but quiet sqaure with open view to a convent. The hotel also has a private but cute courtyard with a swimming pool. You can hang out on the squarewith the public or at the private courtyard with your family/friends.
I stayed at the Salon room type for 2 nights. The room is spacious. It consists of a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a patio; all are spacious. It's so big that I even think they could have put in more furniture there. The Salon room is definitely big enough for 4 people (2 in bedroom and 2 in living room on the sofa bed) to stay there comfortably.
The staff were extremely friendly (in a small town friendly folk way, not in the business smile at large hotel chains way). Not everyone was fluent in English but all were helpful. Many options for breakfasts, all are...
