Normally I don’t write reviews, but this felt odd. It’s standard casual Mexican food, but everything was off. The menu prices have stickers placed over them so you don’t know the price of what you’re ordering. My meal cost $320 pesos for an order of 4 panuchos and an agua del día, exorbitant prices for Mexico, especially Valladolid away from the central plaza. That’s more than double what I’d expect.
Also the panuchos themselves weren’t the best. Rotten lettuce, serving sizes that are WAY too big, no salsitas, the panucho itself was soggy but the meat was dry, and they already include the tip in your bill instead of letting you choose… everything was off. The agua del día WAS delicious though, but still crazy that it cost $90 pesos. It tried to give off the vibe of a chill “local” restaurant, but it’s not at all. Nobody living in Mexico would pay these prices for this. I wish I saw the warning signs before...

Summary: It's certainly a tourist trap - would have gone elsewhere if not for the positive reviews.
One of those places with a separate tourist menu with significantly higher prices. You're looking at $300 for a main and $150 for a drink which is extremely steep for what it is. The restaurant was extremely hot and humid. We were the only ones there for lunch and it's clear that their furniture is falling apart. The food was surprisingly average. We went for the highly recommended pork chop which was a thin piece of very overcooked meat. They incorrectly charged us more on the cheque. If they want to increase their prices they need to get it right! It seems like a quiant family affair which is nice but unfortunately the positives do not outweigh...
Read moreWe had a wonderful lunch here, and our server was exceptionally nice, as well as very patient with our poor Spanish. She gave us great recommendations to taste dishes that are traditional to the Yucatán area. The chaya beverages are made with natural fruit and come with ice in a big cup. We got the strawberry flavor and lime, and these are our new favorite drinks – super refreshing! I ordered the grilled chicken plate, which was a large portion, and reminded me of a Buddha bowl. My boyfriend ordered the papadzules, which is similar to an enchilada, but is filled with boiled eggs, and covered in a pepitas sauce. Overall the food was excellent and we would highly recommend and return. There is no air conditioning, but sitting under the fan...
