Food was great and well presented and this restaurant could be 5 stars if they improve on their service (which I'm hoping this review will help them with). Our starters arrived at the same time as our main courses which made for an awkward dining experience and they didn’t acknowledge the mistake, maybe we should have specified that we wanted the dishes separately but we did order starters of the starter/appetizer menu and mains off the main course menu. The white wine was initially served at room temperature although once opened the bottle was stored in an ice bucket so the second glass was chilled and pleasant to drink. A small issue but we had to ask twice for the dessert menu. We visited in the evening and a large family were seated nearby and their small children were allowed to run all over the restaurant screaming, very loud without consideration of fellow diners. Staff should feel confident to ask parents/guardians to control children, and to also deter child beggars from approaching diners inside the restaurant as this occurred during our time at Amano with staff ignoring the situation. As a tourist we would be inclined to not encourage this behaviour by giving money and many other places I have visited staff usually move them on. Some additional staff training and this place...
Read moreI was a loyal customer, but my last experience was awfull. We booked a table in advance, when get there, receieved it. After making the order, went to the restroom, when coming back, our table was already busy with another guests, that of course refused to change. At the end the representative of the restaurant gave us another table. Such an experience I never had in my life. Food was ok. At the end, after ordering the dessert, the representative of the restaurant asked us to change the table ))))) because they need it for another guests. Are you serious?????? We were in shok. We informed her that we are leaving. She was so happy and thanked us. Shame on such a service! I will never come back. Its a pitty for such a nice restaurant, sich a big investment, such a good location, to have such an...
Read moreI was at Amano restaurant for an event. I have to say that the atmosphere was great however it was ruined by the service, as a matter of fact the young lady who was serving me was rude and totally unprofessional. I don’t blame her much but who haired her! The manager forgot to train her on what it really means Italian hospitality and how it really works. And guess what?! it’s now just the food but the whole experience which goes on how waitresses interacts with your customers. Moreover total lack of English language would have been a good skill to have if you work in such a restaurant where you expect foreigners to come and dine! Please train her properly because authentic Italian restaurants it’s not just about the food. Hope this will help, I am looking forward to see improvements when I...
