I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, my visit was far from pleasant. The food was mediocre, with portions noticeably smaller compared to many other restaurants I’ve visited in Montenegro. My spaghetti was undercooked and still hard inside—a basic mistake that was both surprising and disappointing.
The service, however, was the most troubling aspect of my experience. The waiter repeatedly insisted on a €5 tip, despite my polite refusal, and he kept pointing to himself while repeatedly saying, "It is my service." Tips should be earned through excellent service, not demanded—especially when the service provided falls far short of expectations.
Oh my God, I was horrified by his behavior. If the waiter feels he needs more money for his service, he should address this with the restaurant and request a salary raise. Trying to squeeze money out of clients in this manner is simply unacceptable and unprofessional.
After it was clear that we were a party of two, any attentive waiter would have removed the extra cups to create space for incoming dishes and served water. Instead, the table was left cluttered. When I asked for recommendations, the waiter aggressively pushed a 1 kg seabass priced around €60, which felt less like helpful advice and more like an attempt to upsell.
I strongly recommend that the restaurant remembers people travel from all over the world to visit your country. If they happen to dine at your establishment, your service reflects not only yourself but also the warmth and hospitality of your country’s people and culture. What I experienced here did not represent dignity or respect in any way.
If providing good service feels like too much effort due to low pay or if it simply doesn’t align with one’s personality, perhaps it’s time to reconsider this line of work. Let someone who truly values creating positive experiences take on the role instead.
Guests come to restaurants in a good mood, hoping for a memorable dining experience. Sadly, this visit left me frustrated and disappointed. I strongly suggest focusing on improving food quality and service standards rather than pressuring...

We specifically visited Budva to dine at this restaurant, drawn by its glowing reviews. The atmosphere was lovely, the lady at the reception was very welcoming, and the food was quite decent, an overall pleasant way to spend our last evening in Montenegro.
However, our experience was overshadowed by unacceptable service from our server. When the bill arrived, it was higher than expected. Upon asking for a receipt, we found that we had been charged for bread that we assumed was complimentary (it was not served to other tables), and a gratuity had been automatically added without any prior notice, either on the menu or verbally.
When I raised this with the receptionist, she confirmed this was not standard practice and, shockingly, mentioned this had already happened twice that day. It was disappointing to feel taken advantage of, possibly based on assumptions about our background. As someone working in the service industry and familiar with tipping customs, I’m more than willing to tip generously when deserved—but tipping should never be forced or hidden.
I’m grateful to the receptionist for her professionalism and the way she handled the situation. But I truly hope no other guest has to go through a similar experience when all they want is to enjoy...
Read moreThis place is lucky they had good food because we did not feel welcomed or cared for. The waiter was completely inappropriate by blatantly showing his dissatisfaction with how and what we ordered. Since we didnt want wine and cocktails, he rolled his eyes at us and gave us a bad look. Then when he brought out extra bread (thankfully the reviews told us it wasnt free) we said thats okay we dont need the extra bread if its not free and he literally THREW the plate down, SCOFFED and waved his hand as if “wowww” and then walked away? We ordered the mussels which were really good so that saved the dinner… Then I pay the bill and it was two euro change and takes MY EUROS and says “one for you and ONE FOR ME”? Who are you to tell me how I spend MY MONEY when you dont even deserve that euro for treating us the way he did. Then I go Oh Okay I guess thats yours then… and he says in YOUR country you tip right so I take???? Yeah because In MY country, the servers dont roll their eyes at us, give us free bread, and dont slam plates on the tables… thats why we tip! I had a polite chat with him after and he didnt really...
