We visited this place with my friends today and we were extremely shocked and disappointed because of the attitude of a waiter. After we asked the waiter if the meat in a sandwich is pork (we do not eat it) he just made a gesture indicating he does not know, we requested him to kindly ask about it to someone who knows, because we wanted to make sure. Instead of doing it, he cynically asked where we are from and he smirked when we said Turkiye. Then a waitress came over and we asked the same thing to her, while we were asking he was saying something in his langauge that we were sure was not the nicest words (it was obvious by his tone and face, also she laughed with him) We said it’s not cool what they’re doing because we do not understand and he got mad and said “well I don’t speak Turkish so” raising his voice. (We have not spoken a word in Turkish so there was no point) He went over to other staff and made rude hand gestures by pointing at us, still saying things in his language angrily. I'm writing to share my disappointing experience at the breakfast restaurant during my recent stay at Riva Hotel. Our group had brought some pastries to enjoy with our breakfast, as no one had said anything to us about it on the first two days. We assumed it was perfectly fine, as a hotel with a breakfast buffet would be more accommodating. ​However, on the third day, a new waiter approached our table and, in a shockingly hostile manner, told us we couldn't eat our pastries. He then threatened to call the police and impose a €1000 fine. His tone and demeanor were completely unacceptable and made us feel like we were committing a serious crime. ​It's one thing to have a policy against outside food, but it's another to enforce it with threats and zero politeness. A simple, polite conversation on the first day, explaining the policy, would have prevented the entire situation. The lack of hospitality and aggressive attitude from this staff member was a major disappointment and left a very bad impression. I hope management addresses this behavior, as it detracts significantly from the guest...

We ordered sea bass with red rice, chicken skewers and the squid salad. Instead of sea bass we were served overcooked salmon. The overcooked salmon we didn’t order was way too salty anyway, the red rice was just rice cooked in ketchup, the chicken completely unseasoned and tasteless. The squid was actually nicely cooked - the one thing they got right - but the rest of the salad was uninteresting. 47 euro for what? I regret paying the bill, we should have walked away. Also some other interesting facts: we only ordered the salad because they didn’t have mussels that day. There was also a local tourist boat operator fixing his engine out the front so we were choking on boat exhaust the entire time (I understand this part wasn’t the restaurants fault). The place looks fantastic and the location is great, you could at least make a token effort to produce edible food. 100% worth a visit if you love to breathe air pollution and eat horrible food that you didn’t order, and even if you did order it your dog could...
