La Bavaroise is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and it only got better from there. The good: Bordeaux red wine was great. Servers were relatively friendly and the manager was able to help in solving my issue the following day.

The bad: Ordered the “saumon mariné gravlax” for a starter and the “entrecôte”steak afterwards. The salmon tasted a bit funny and the steak was cooked too raw so I asked for another piece cooked medium rare - as I ordered. They came back with the same steak, just cooked a bit more. Later that evening I became quite sick and was in & out of the washroom for the next 30+ hours. My stomach is still recovering 2 days following the meal. After a long discussion with the manager and owner, they reimbursed me just for the saumon mariné as they were in disbelief someone could get any type of food poisoning from their restaurant. In the least, they apologized; offered to pay for any medicine bought and reimbursed me for part of the meal. A full refund of the food I ordered would have...

Difficult to say something wrong but difficult to say something good. We came without reservation and helpful stuff found a table for us. Actually service is really good. Unlike name says - this place is closest to the French bistro. When it comes to food I can say that we had mixed experience my starter was very boring while my friend one - excellent. Then opposite: my main was delicious while my friend main not so good. Saying this - none of the meals was bad. sometimes just... uninspiring. Some French classics - reinvented (you may like it or not), pretty nice wine list but pity they didn't have bottle we chose (actually wine list wasn't proposed to us, we have to ask for it). Choice of music hm... strange but I guess I am little conservative when it comes to it, leave it younger to judge.
