During my recent visit to Marrakech, I had the pleasure of dining at Jemaa Al Fna - Groupe L'Adresse, a vibrant café and restaurant nestled in the heart of the city's famous Jemaa el-Fna square. This venue stands out not only for its prime location but also for offering a rich blend of Moroccan flavors with a touch of contemporary dining.
Ambiance and Location: The location of Jemaa Al Fna is nothing short of iconic. Situated right in the bustling square, the restaurant offers stunning views of the lively marketplace, where performers, vendors, and tourists converge. The rooftop terrace is a highlight, providing a perfect vantage point to take in the sights and sounds of Marrakech while enjoying your meal. The ambiance is a mix of traditional Moroccan decor with modern touches, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
Service: The staff at Jemaa Al Fna were attentive and friendly, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The service was efficient, with the waitstaff knowledgeable about the menu and ready to make recommendations based on our preferences.
Food and Drinks: The menu at Jemaa Al Fna offers a diverse selection of Moroccan cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. I tried the traditional tagine, which was flavorful and perfectly spiced, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Morocco. The couscous was light and fluffy, complemented by a delicious mix of vegetables and tender meat. For dessert, the pastilla with almonds and honey was a delightful treat, balancing sweetness with the delicate crunch of pastry.
The drink menu also deserves praise, with a variety of traditional Moroccan teas and fresh juices. The mint tea, served in a beautifully ornate teapot, was refreshing and aromatic, providing a perfect end to the meal.
Overall Experience: Jemaa Al Fna - Groupe L'Adresse offers more than just a meal; it's a full sensory experience. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna square makes it a must-visit when in Marrakech. Whether you're looking for a place to relax after exploring the city or seeking an authentic Moroccan dining experience, this restaurant is a fantastic choice.

Read moreWe arrived at L'Adresse Jemaa El-Fna just before sunset and managed to get a table with a spectacular view overlooking the bustling square, all without a prior reservation. The atmosphere during sunset was magical, with the market below gradually lighting up as the evening set in. The location offers one of the best vantage points to enjoy the vibrant energy of Jemaa el-Fna.
The manager greeted us warmly and was incredibly friendly and service-minded throughout our visit, ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction. The service felt personal and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
We started with a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad. The dish was beautifully presented with generous slices of mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and crisp lettuce, lightly dressed to enhance the flavors. The portion size was larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise given the prime location.
For the main course, we had the chicken couscous. The couscous was rich and aromatic, served with tender chicken, chickpeas, carrots, zucchini, and other vegetables. The caramelized onions on top added a sweet, savory contrast to the hearty dish. The serving size was more than enough to satisfy, making it excellent value for the price.
To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a refreshing mojito. It was perfectly balanced, with plenty of fresh mint and lime, making it a great complement to the flavors of the food.
Overall, the experience was delightful – good food, large portions, and reasonable prices, especially considering the central location. The combination of great service, delicious food, and a view of the lively square made for a...
Read moreThree of us came here and sat in the middle floor. A lady was serving us or well we had to reportedly call her. Eventually we ordered the mix grill and chicken burger. We asked for well done meat. However the meat came very raw and even the chicken was uncooked. The food came out within 5 mins of us placing the order and was cold. We ate what we could and told her about the meat and food being cold. She did bring us another 2 lamb chops but we did not even eat it. I ordered a ginger drink which she took without asking me and it was half full. I had to chase her into the kitchen to get it back. I ordered two more of these drinks but she told us they run out. Anyways time to pay. We get our bill and the girl working tells us repeatedlt that service is not included. She stays standing over us repeating about the service. We did not want to pay service. Service was terrible. Anyways bill was 525 dirhams and I needed some change so asked if I pay 550 instead could she give me 25 dirhams in change. She agreed happily but then asked about the service. I said we will not pay service to which she says oh sorry then you are only paying 525 and not what we agreed earlier. I said to her that she is only doing this because we not paying service to which she just smiled. I complained to the manager downstairs but not sure if any action was taken. I have been to the same restaurant in gueliz and that was perfect service and food. I suggest avoid this...
