We decided on the spur of the moment to pop in for something to eat. Shown to the roof terrace which gave brilliant views of the Koutoubia mosque. Menu offered mainly mainstream western food, decided to order the Burger Markech for two and two bottles of water. It was just as well the terrace gave good views because we had plenty of time to admire them. Cannot give an exact time of waiting but at least 30 minutes. There were only four other people in the restaurant. When it came, due to a misunderstanding (which I don't criticise - language difficulty) only a single meal came. It was well presented, on a wooden platter, well cooked chips (fries) in a basket, sauce in a pot and the burger with a wooden skewer. The bun was of brioche type, which I find a little too sweet for a savoury meal. The burger (patty) was of good quality but a little small. The onions were overcooked, and presented as a bit of a mush. The second burger arrived eventually (although quicker than the first one) and we left with our appetites satisfied but a little disappointed. Perhaps we should have kept to traditional Moroccan food. Cost? 70 MAD each burger and 20 MAD each...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at "Le Markech" and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The restaurant is located in a prime spot, facing the Koutoubia Mosque, making it a perfect place to catch the stunning sunset while enjoying your meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, with comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure you have a great experience. When it comes to the menu, "Le Markech" does not disappoint. They have an excellent selection of juices that are perfect for a hot day in Marrakech. The food is also delicious and well-prepared, with a good mix of traditional Moroccan dishes and international cuisine. Overall, I would highly recommend "Le Markech" to anyone visiting Marrakech. It's a great place to unwind, watch the sunset, and enjoy some delicious food and drinks. The proximity to Jemaa el-Fnaa square is also a huge plus, as it makes for an easy and convenient spot to dine while...
Read moreA very bad experience. The place is nicely decorated, and I was with my family of 8 sitting on the terrace. After checking the menu, we decided to leave because we didn’t like the prices. As we were leaving, the staff behaved in a completely unprofessional way. They accused us of coming only to take pictures without ordering anything, and one of them even started insulting us. Honestly, I do not recommend this café-restaurant. It’s a shame for...
