One of the worst experiences I ever had in a bar, and the only bad experience I had in morocco. They tried to rip us off a 150 Euros by adding drinks we didn't ever drink in our final bill. They refused to let us pay each time we recieved a drink in order to make this scheme work ( so that we would have a huge bill in which they could add some drinks in the total amount ). After more than 2 hours of negociating at the bar we lost our patience and paid the real amount we owed and tried getting out of the hotel. At this moment they locked all the doors in order to litterally stop us from leaving and keeping us in against our will even though we paid the due amount. I had to fight one of the guards so that I could get out by one of the backdoors they forgot to lock. In the end we managed to get out after calling the british embassy and the moroccan police. Please, for your own sake and safety, and the one of you wallet, do not ever go there. The scammers who are members of this team should be ashamed to behave like this. They are failures who don't understand that ripping people off, locking them up against their will and resorting to violence will never help the moroccan tourism industry and thus themselves in the long run. During my recent visit, I was confronted by this person who spoke arrogantly and disrespectfully to me and my friends. He even went so far as to challenge us not to let us in next time! I think there are many claims about the same person!
I find this unacceptable, and I'm sure this is not the kind of treatment that the customers of this place deserve. I think this incident should be reported to the management of this bar so that they can take appropriate action and ensure that their staff is trained to treat customers with courtesy and professionalism.
