Patron de la Mer — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

My wife and I came for a dinner on our honeymoon in Morocco, quite accidentally to this restaurant where, after a few changes due to our indecisiveness, we finally ordered a steak and tuna tagine. The food was amazing, the live music was very nice as the overall atmosphere, but the most we were impressed was our waiter, chef de rang, Saad El-Srhiri. And he is the sole reason I took time to write this review. Saad is trully the embodiment of Morrocan hospitality. We felt very welcome and comfortable with his calm and attentive approach. What a rare set of skills for a professional in this industry. You can actually feel that he is doing this job with love. Without a doubt, you will have a rare experience if you are lucky to be served by him. The wine he proposed to us were also two excellent choices. When his shift ended he came to our table to greet us and let us know that his shift finished and that if we need anything else we will be served by another waiter. We left the restaurant really feeling like we found a new friend and not just a great waiter which does not come too often even in best restaurants. This guy deserves a raise.

Absolutely pleased with my experience here at Patron de la Mer. Visiting Marrakech from the Caribbean, culture and food are 2 huge parts of any great experience and this restaurant delivered on both. The atmosphere in here was amazing, the service which was strictly local was on point, and the food was undoubtedly top class. I’ve had both lunch and dinner at Patron de la Mer, trying the Seabass in Cream Sauce + the Tagine with Lamb Leg. Both meals were a dream turned reality. Such bursting flavours, tasting the Moroccan spices with every bite.

The staff here were attentive and friendly, being able to help with any request and helpful with recommendations as well. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully done, making your time here feel like a 5-star experience.

We are staying at the hotel and just flew in from the States. This was excellent all around. Great atmosphere, great service and food was awesome.

We had the tomato bread to start. Crispy and tasty. We ordered two different salads. One was the Salmon salad and the salmon was so good. The salad was a great mixture of flavors with the mango and cucumbers. The second salad was the Mediterranean Avocado salad. Also great with the various vegetables. Our main courses were the Sea Bream dinners. We had it done two different ways. One just grilled. It was so tender and so much meat. The second was grilled but also with a crab sauce. Great.
