Pastaz by Catanzaro Harti — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

We stayed in Marrakech for 8 days and we came for our dinner EVERY DAY at Pastaz Harti. EVERYTHING was perfect! The food was superb. We tried many items in their menu and they were all superb. The baked eggplant parmesan, the various salads, the pasta burrata, pizza, seafood gratin, lasagna with spinach/salmon,  pasta Puttanesca (ooh that anchovy flavour!) etc... etc...and of course, the wonderful soup !! The service was in the top 1% of restaurants everywhere that we have visited in our 65 year lives (and we have travelled to over 50 countries)!  The servers, Bilal and Karim, should be given a medal as top hospitality ambassadors of Marrakech! They were extremely efficient,  quick, professional, friendly, informative (about the food), warm and smiley. And the chef deserves a Michelin star (the taste of saltiness,  sweetness,  spiciness, etc of each and every pasta sauce, soup, gratin etc was just perfect!). We could also see how hard working the kitchen staff were. They clearly looked happy with what they did and made a great team ! The atmosphere in the restaurant was a happy one.

Last but not least, the price was very reasonable, starting from USD3 for soup up to USD 7 for main dishes.

Pastaz would be on the top of our list of the things in Marrakech that we missed. We expect to come back to Marrakech and it's not a joke when we say that one of the main reasons would be to have the delicious food, superb service and to meet our new friends in Pastaz Harti. We hope Karim, Bilal and all staff at Pastaz Harti realise how they have contributed to our wonderful trip to Marrakech and how they have made their customers happy. Until next time Pastaz. A decent value for money Italian restaurant. The pizza was tasty and had a lot of toppings and ingredients. The kids enjoyed the bolognese which is a offered with a choice of pasta. We ordered chicken wings as a starter had to return it to be cooked again and even then it looked like there was something wrong with it. Couldn't eat - however the restaurant didn't charge us for it. That was very nice of them.

The drinks were good, the Virgini mojito was refreshing and the other drinks were healthy.. it's a shame the ac wasn't working as it was needed during the hot summer afternoon. I would have given it 5 stars if the chicken was OK and ac working probably ought to give it 4 stars - will visit again and try...

Un festin délicieux gâché par un service désagréable. J'ai récemment eu l'occasion de dîner ici qui m'a laissé une impression mitigée. Bien que la qualité de la nourriture soit excellente, l'expérience globale a été grandement entachée par un service désagréable et un accueil peu chaleureux.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par un serveur qui semblait complètement désorganisé. Il était débordé et ne parvenait pas à gérer efficacement les tables. Il oubliait régulièrement nos demandes, ce qui nous obligeait à le rappeler à plusieurs reprises. Son manque d'attention envers les clients était flagrant, et cela se ressentait dans l'atmosphère du restaurant.

Malgré ces désagréments, je dois admettre que la nourriture servie était véritablement délicieuse. Les plats étaient préparés avec soin, les saveurs étaient bien équilibrées et les ingrédients semblaient frais. Chaque bouchée était un véritable régal pour les papilles. Cependant, la qualité de la nourriture seule ne suffit pas à compenser le service médiocre auquel nous avons été confrontés.

De plus, l'accueil qui nous a été réservé était plutôt froid. Le personnel ne semblait pas particulièrement intéressé par notre présence et ne faisait aucun effort pour nous faire sentir les bienvenus. Cette absence de convivialité a créé une distance entre les clients et l'établissement, donnant l'impression que notre satisfaction n'était pas une priorité pour eux.

En fin de compte, malgré la qualité exceptionnelle de la nourriture, je ne peux pas recommander ce restaurant en raison du service désagréable et de l'accueil peu chaleureux que nous avons reçus. La désorganisation du serveur, combinée à l'attitude indifférente du personnel, a fortement nui à notre expérience globale. J'espère sincèrement que l'établissement prendra des mesures pour améliorer son service afin que les clients puissent pleinement apprécier la délicieuse cuisine...
