That which is there is ok but there is not much. I wish African establishments will learn that the grand opening isn't supposed to be the last day everything is working. Everything in there is falling in disrepair and just looks sad. The kiddies interactive fish possible haven't worked for five years or more. The paint is pealing. The small fish tanks looks like death sentence cabinets. My kids still like going there, for the sake of the one Shark and the stingrays. Therefore the second star. I cannot fathom why they only ask five dollar entrance, but by the look of it, they would also mismanage 20 dollar entrance! They quite obviously have no budget other then to buy some fishfood, which is just stupid. About twenty years old and not a single new exhibit. Nothing new. Nothing to draw new people. Nothing to entice old guests to return. Just a simple African nothing....

I’m really disappointed. The aquariums do not offer enough space for that many fishes. There is nothing but water and stones in them. Have we forgotten how divers the ocean is? In the big tank you’ll find the fishes bumping into each other and in another one, a lonely and suicidal ray that keeps trying to climb up the glass. My advice: upgrade this place ASAP! This is animal cruelty! But mostly: get species that are about to extinct and help them to propagate. Once they do, set them free. That’s the only reason why humans should capture wild animals. Also hang up information sheets about the drastic extinction to make sure people learn something when they leave. If you visit this aquarium now, especially children will have an understanding of sea animals that is...

Basic aquarium, but a wonderful experience!

We really enjoyed it and there is a lot to see. There is a large aquarium with a tunnel going through it, which was pretty cool and provided a closer look at all of the pretty fishies. Was a great photo opportunity too.

At N$10 per adult and N$5 per child, entrance is practically free. Definitely a must visit if you have kids. We parked at the jetty and strolled down to the aquarium, which added to the experience.

I would definitely go back on my next trip to Swakopmund.

It has fewer sea animals as what I recall 20 years back. I would like to see more of our ocean diversity and plant life elaborated more. I would also suggest input on how the community can help keep the ocean and it's beaches clean/ have field trip cleaning trips for schools to help educate the children, and some kind of beach safari trip crew to educate tourists/schools of the beach life and its eco~system. Just my thought, and this can also be done to help the up keep of the Aquarium Building, surroundings, and its future purpose goals.
