We came for dinner yesterday, our experience was not good in total.
Food: food was alright, but pretty high priced and kind of basic. It seems to serve as a typical tourist spot, which we knew beforehand, but came for the nice atmosphere. Portion sizes were quite small for the pricing
Ambiente: nice location on the jetty, the restaurant is made up nice, all is tidy.
Service: We were served by Innocentia. First impression, she was really nice and welcoming. As we were seated, this switched quite fast. At second contact I thought it was another waiter, apparently it wasn't. She told us how busy and stressed she was and that we needed to be patient, what we told her that it wasn't an issue, we had time. Before the starters she joined our table silently, asking why we look so suspicious, which we thought was weird but we didn't bother so much.
During our dinner, with two of us still eating, she came to the table, stood approximate 10cm away to the right of one of my friends, silently watching her eating for approximately 45 seconds, not saying anything. We tried to find out what was happening, were really confused about the situation. She told my friend to finish her food and not leave anything, otherwise we should help her finish. On answering that she will try but if she wouldn't, that would be okay still, she replied that we cannot say something like this. She left and only came back 20 minutes after when we requested the check.
We found her behaviour really rude and irritating, which is why we left not tip. The cashier asked, if we do not want to leave a tip for our waiter, which I replied that we normally would, but due to Innocentias behaviour we were not happy to. She did not ask what caused us, but just said that it is okay. I don't have the impression that the business cares, which is why I am leaving this detailed review.
Afterall, I cannot...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant located on a jetty swakopmund recently and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the stunning views of the water and the beautifully designed interior of the restaurant.
But what truly set this restaurant apart was the exceptional food and customer service. The menu offered a wonderful array of dishes, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The fresh seafood dishes were particularly outstanding, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the presentation of each dish was truly stunning.
What really stood out, however, was the level of customer service. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations based on my preferences. Throughout the meal was abit over priced compared to other restaurants in swakopmund i still enjoyed the meal tremendously.
All in all, I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant on the jetty. The combination of great food and exceptional customer service made for an unforgettable dining experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a...
Read moreNot impressed at all - rated as one of the best restaurants in Namibia one would expect it to live up to the expectation - asked the waitress what is the linefish of the day - I was ecstatic when she told me it was cob seeing that one year prior I had the best cob and chips in my life at your establishment - I even called your main sjef and informed him likewise ( I stand to be corrected but I think his name was Stephen) - momets later she put a plate with hake in front of me - she did not apologize for the mistake - she took a chance and presented me with hake hoping I wouldn't realise the difference - I sent it back straight away and told the other waiter that brought it to my table that I did not order hake but rather cob - secondly you advertised soul on your menu - you did not have any in stock - this is very frustrating - lessons learnt and rectification - why don't you put out a black sandwich board at your entrance indicating items not in stock - that way your waiters/waitresses as well as your customers would be up to speed with what's in stock and what's not - this is not the service one would expect from the most top class restaurant in Namibia ...
