Desert Creek Spur Namibia — Restaurant in Erongo Region

Management is a mess! No white bread or pouring cream at 10h30 on a Monday morning! Waiter said he would go and buy white bread... delayed our meal. Nobody in the restaurant but took 15 minutes to get coffee. Staff all too busy talking and having fun!

Update: I must say that I am very impressed with management. The manager came and discussed the problems with us. When the food arrived it was on point: all the orders were perfect. The manager even provided another round of coffees etc gratis to apologise for the inconvenience. She handled the situation very well and we left satisfied and happy!

I'm impressed with Spur's HO too. They contacted me and wish to discuss the incident....

Booked telephonically yesterday and came in this morning to make sure my booking was correct, found out we weren’t booked at all and booking wasn’t even written in the book. We then personally made the booking this morning showing them the specific booth we want as we wanted to watch the rugby at 17:00. When we got there this afternoon lo and behold someone was sitting in our booth, employees are baffled and no one is taking accountability(mind you restaurant is packed). After 10 minutes manager comes and suggests that we will have wait and settle for a different table.

As a disclaimer, I am reviewing this individual spur and not the franchise as a whole. I've been to South African spurs that were not as great as our local one. The service has always been good here and the food was never below the standard set by the franchise, as a matter of fact, it is sometimes higher than that. However, it is a family restaurant that targets children so it does get loud and energetic with all the children around so if you do not like the louder and childlike atmosphere then it's not a place you'll enjoy but otherwise it's a top pick even among our other...
