Mopane worms. I tried the caterpillar form of the Emperor worms for the experience. Texture is a toss between crunchy and sautéed juicy. Personally would have wanted it to be more on the savoury side --- honestly dipped it in the sauce of the next dish.
Eendingu with Pap. Dry beef meat (eendingu) that was stewed and served with the traditional white cornmeal stiff porridge (pap). Loved it!
Oshigali and Ondjove. Black-eyed bean purée (oshigali) with marula oil (ondjove) was a sampler I was provided for free - without me even asking for it. It was warm, homey, and comforting! A+!!!
My waiting staff, Selma, was awesome! She took the time to explain the dishes to me. Offered me to try oshigali and ondjove for free. Ensured I was doing fine and did not need anything else throughout.
