Namanta Kitchen — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

We recently decided to try this restaurant even though there were no other patrons in the restaurant. (We asked whether we could sit next to the window and they agreed.) We ordered Mediterranean pizza and penne pesto. While the food was good, it definitely was not great.

The part that made my husband and I extremely angry was that we had eaten about 1/4th of our food when a larger group came in and was seated outside. Since the group did not want to sit outside, the employee came to our table and asked us to move because the group wanted to sit where we were sitting. Of course, our answer was absolutely not but the employee looked dumbfounded that we refused to move.

This restaurant was a class act. A little taste of Italy in Nepal. God bless because I hate Nepali food. Even more surprising was that the pizzas here are actually made with Italian style 00 flour instead of cake flour (Maida) like every other pizza place in Nepal. The best part though was the complementary bruschetta appetizers they begin your meal with. So tasty I almost wished it could have been the meal instead of just the appetizer. But the pizza was terrific too despite not being what we ordered. But when your meal tastes that good, it doesn’t really matter if you didn’t get what you asked for. My only complaint might be that they didn’t have Hawaiian pizza on the menu or beef lasagna or any tomato soup. But no one’s perfect as they say. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Namanta Kitchen, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I ordered their pizza and coffee, and both were absolutely top-notch in quality. The pizza was perfectly baked with rich flavors, and the coffee was aromatic and smooth—truly one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

What made the visit even more memorable was the outstanding service and warm hospitality. Every staff member was incredibly welcoming, always smiling, and made me feel right at home. Their friendly and professional nature added a personal touch to the entire experience.
