A Great Place for Friday Hangouts!
Cafe De Tukche Thakali has become somewhat of a regular Friday haunt for me, and it's mostly been a delightful experience. Here's my honest take on the place:
The ambience at Cafe De Tukche Thakali is comfortably medium. It's neither too fancy nor too casual, striking a nice balance. I appreciate this because it sets the mood for a relaxed Friday evening.
The staff here are quite friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall positive vibe of the place. They make you feel at home, and that's always a plus.
Now, onto the food – the chicken gravy here is undoubtedly a star. It consistently tastes good and has become one of my favorites. The flavors are on point, and it's a dish I look forward to every visit.
However, there's a small issue I've encountered a couple of times. When the restaurant gets busy, the orders can sometimes be a tad late. I understand that it can happen when they're swamped with customers, but it's worth noting.
Another thing that has bothered me is their policy regarding extra gravy. They often bring extra gravy in a single bowl and suggest that it be shared among all diners, regardless of the group size. This can be a bit inconvenient, especially when you're dining with a larger group. Additionally, when I've asked for extra gravy separately, the response can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes they delay it, and on occasion, it seems like they didn't hear my request at all.
Despite these minor hiccups, Cafe De Tukche Thakali remains a great place for a Friday get-together. The delicious chicken gravy alone is almost worth the visit, and the friendly staff make it a welcoming place to unwind. Just be mindful of the extra gravy situation and the occasional wait during peak hours, and you're in for an...
Read moreI recently visited cafe de tukche lazimpat and I regret to say it was one of the most disturbing dining experiences I've ever had. After placing my order, the food arrived promptly, and everything looked appetizing at first glance. But as I took a few bites into my dish, I noticed an odd texture. To my utter disgust, I found what appeared to be an earthworm in the middle of my meal! I initially thought it was some mistake, but upon closer inspection, it was undoubtedly an earthworm. I immediately brought it to the attention of the waiter, who apologized and took the plate away, but the damage was already done. There was no way I could eat anything else at this restaurant after such a revolting discovery. While they offered to replace the meal or give me a discount, nothing could erase the fact that something so unhygienic had made its way into my food. I would strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant. No matter how good a place looks or how polite the staff might be, finding an earthworm in your food is an absolute dealbreaker. Needless to say, I will never be...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked in, I was impressed by Tukche Thakali's spacious parking area, which is a rarity in Lazimpat. The ambiance of the restaurant provided a welcoming and comfortable dining experience, perfectly complementing the highlight of my visit – the Mutton Thakali set. The flavors were authentic, rich, and truly satisfying, capturing the essence of Thakali cuisine. The mutton tasted so good!
The restaurant boasts a large seating capacity, which means it's well-suited for group gatherings without feeling overcrowded. Cleanliness is clearly a priority here, as evidenced by their well-maintained bathroom – a detail that speaks volumes about a place.
Service was prompt and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. What made dining here even more appealing was the reasonable pricing for such high-quality food. It's a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for authentic Thakali cuisine in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Definitely a must-visit when you're...
