Used to love going to this place. But the last few experiences have been so bad. The food has been below average. From extra sweet spaghetti bolognese to over burnt apple pie, this place has been so disappointing. Yet being regular costumers, we kept going because of the environment and the convenient location but today, 2 things intolerable happened.
The waitress who came to take our order was giving a very judgement look and making faces at the other waiters bringing us dishes and taking more orders like laughing at the staffs and gossiping while looking at us.
Me and 3 of my other friends were told to shift to “any other table” because apparently 6 guests asked to sit at the exact same spot that we were sitting at out of all the other empty places. We ordered plenty food and drinks, yet they came to ask us to move without even apologizing to us.
I went there 2 days ago too when they served us Hot Chocolate with LIPSTICK STAIN on the mug. They exchanged it thankfully then they served us burnt apple pies. Shouldn’t have gone back.
We ordered our bill and decided to leave for Java and still no body apologized.
Never EVER stepping this cafe again.
I don’t know what makes restaurants think that they can do anything and cook anything to the customers who are paying fair price, but this is so so sad. This place used to be one of my favorites but the disrespect towards the us today is beyond unacceptable. We returned back thinking that it might’ve just been a bad day but no!
You guys really need to train your staff manners and give bare minimum to your customers that have been...
Read moreI had a roller coaster of an experience at the beautiful Salon de Kathmandu. Not long after I arrived, I realised I’ve lost my wallet. Panic and disbelief set in as I tried to recall where did I last had it. The service staff at Salon de Kathmandu were absolutely wonderful. The waitress named Kunsel was such an angel! With the help of 2 other waiters, she helped called my hotel to see if I have left my wallet there. She also went to great lengths to ask the taxi drivers if there’s any way to contact the particular taxi driver who drove me there. At the end of the day, my wallet was left at the hotel lobby when I frantically went back to the hotel. I felt so relieved, happy and grateful to the service staff at Salon de Kathmandu, esp to Kunsel. I went back again to let her know I’ve found my wallet. To my surprise, she teared knowing that I found my wallet. What a gem of a service staff. She told me she was so sad that I lost my wallet and she could empathise with my situation. I’m so grateful to Kunsel and the service staff at Salon de Kathmandu. Oh, the food was pretty good (of cos it does when the service was that top notch!). The ambience was magnificent. A chill and magnificent place laced with beautiful lights. Thank you Kunsel and the 2 waiters. I appreciate your excellent service and sincere help. I’ll never forget...
Read moreI had heard really good reviews about this place. So, on a friend's birthday, I convinced all my friends to try this place out. We had confirmed a day prior that this place had breakfast menu and no booking was required. However, the next day when we went there at around 9 30 a.m., there had still not set up anything and none of the table was setup. We were ready to even wait for a while, but this one staff was very rude and on being asked if they were open or were yet to open, he very rudely answered yes. Even then we overlooked his crankiness but he refused to answer any questions and when we told him we were a group of 5 or 6 people, he asked us to make a booking before coming and they don't serve without booking for large group. When we said that there is noone there and we even confirmed with them on phone the day earlier that no booking was needed, he still insisted that they don't serve anyone without booking which was not true.
It was very disappointing experience for us and we didn't even stay for breakfast after the horrible unprofessionalism of the staff members. They really need to learn some manners or hire new staff members andiif you don't want to serve breakfast, then you shouldn't have a breakfast menu.
I don't think I am going back here for a really long no matter...
